I Will Rise

My name is Tala, I am apart of the MoonStone Pack. I live in a small cabin with my mom and younger sister Ash, she is 15 tomorrow and will get her wolf counterpart. Our cabin is in the Northern part of the pack, just down the road from the pack house.  I turn 17 in 3 days my wolf’s name is Sage and she is excited to be able to run and play in the water, feel the wind in her fur, grass under her paws. Most wolves our age are looking for their mates but we weren’t. We want to become a ranked wolf a Beta or Gamma. Our pack does something different than most everyone can rise or fall to another an omega blood can become and alpha, while and alpha blood can be an omega. Everyone trains to protect the pack and when the current ranked wolves are ready to pass it down they pick someone to replace them based on instinct, training, strength, and intelligence. I’ve always done my best and learned from the Gamma and Beta whenever I could, after school and homework, after dinner, early morning before school. I know people think I’m boring or a stick in the mud, but really, I just want a good life for my family. After we lost my father, my mom lost her wolf counterpart due to depression, she hasn’t been the same since that day. I was with my best friend Ralph and his sister Rei, watching a movie at the pack drive in. Halfway through the movie warriors came telling everyone to go inside that rouges were attacking the Northeast border. My dad was the lead warrior, and he lost his life saving a child from a rouge attack. Ralphs dad took over my dad’s position till the next selection came, in 5 days selection starts and I will finally have a chance. The current Alpha has been the alpha for 10 years and he is ready to step down, he has already selected his successor and he chose my best friend Ralph for his planning and determination for the pack.
