Lost in time

Winter's Pov "Thank you for coming at my fan signing event today. I really appreciate everyone who are here just to see me. I promise I'll write another fantastic book to my fan's likings" I smiled as I carefully place the microphone on the table. Cameras flashing here and there. I am on top now. "Ms. Winter, let's go now" my assistant reached her hand to me as a guide as I slowly got down on the stairs. "Winter, your books are amazing!" "You are the best of all" I smiled and waved back to my fans as they shouted my name with compliments. Making them scream in excitement. As soon as I have entered my car, I sighed deeply . Who would have thought I'll reach at the top at this young age. I smiled bitterly. Maybe if I was on this limelight before, then that won't happen right? Right? I stare outside my window, looking at the tall buildings and people rushing here and there, trying to survive this great city. I was lost in my thoughts when suddenly my phone beeped. "Enjoy your limelight while you can. I'll come for you soon sweetie" I almost threw my phone after I read the text. Only one person comes to mind. My hands tremble intensely. I grabbed the hem of my dress to stop the shaking. No. It couldn't be. How could he have my number? "Ma'am, are you alright?" my driver looks at me worried as he noticed my trembling "Yes. I'm just tired. I need a little rest" I lied. I quickly opened the door of my car and swiftly got my things as soon as I noticed we're already on the building of my condo unit. "T-thanks, kuya". I closed the door and hurriedly walked inside. My hands and body still trembling from the text I have read. There is just no way how he could reached me. I run at the elevator knowing anytime I'll pass out from the fear. As soon as the elevator stopped on my condo, I went to the door and opened it. I hurriedly opened my cup board and got a few pills from a bottle then gulped them down. I breathe heavily. Just from the thought of them finding me makes me fear for my life. Why now? Why can't I live a peaceful life? I sobbed as I remember my past. My past which I had tried to forget, but instead in made it worse and hard to live day by day. I opened a bottle of tequila and drank it straight from the bottle. I just want to forget about the pain, even if it's just temporary. Even if it's just for one night. Just as I was about to gulp another drink of tequila, my doorbell rang. And my anxious ass makes me tremble again. I slowly walked to my door, not wanting to make any sound. When I reached the door I decided to look at the monitor and he was there.. With 3 other guys with him.. No! No! What am I gonna do? How did they find me? I was so terrified that I could not even manage to speak. "Winter, we know you're in there. Open the door so we can have a little bit of fun." I trembled so hard I could not even move my body. I bit my lower lip to prevent any sound from coming out of my mouth. Scared that he would hear me. "Don't make me mad or else I'll open this damn door myself" He grinned like a devil. How.. Just how.. Just then I snapped back to reality when I heard my door beeping. How could he open it! No way! I cried at the thought of what was about to happen. No.. The door opened and there they are. Smiling like they are welcomed guests. "Long time no see, Winter"
