Chapter 4

It's really late .......& it started raining outside. Emma's mom is trying to call her. The phone rings but no one picks it up. Her mom's really worried. When she could no longer keep patience she dialed Stephanie.

" Hey! Steph......Is Emma with you?! I'm trying to reach her but she won't pick up the phone"

Stephanie froze on hearing this ......she along with Josh dropped her near her home hours ago. She told it to her mom. Her mom broke in tears . She was really worried now. Left with no other option she asked Stephanie for help & along with Emma's brother went out to look for her. Stephanie called her friends ......&everyone at the party.Dan also rushed to help find her. Stephanie called every person in Emma's contact list but all the efforts went in vain. Her brother's & Dan Searched for her in all the neighbouring areas. But she was no where. She just disappeared............

The Police was called & the situation seemed critical . Everyone was worried about her & doing their part in searching her . The Police cars arrived soon & two of the head officers went out to talk & gather information about today's events. Meanwhile search party looked for her in that area. Soon the search was over & the search party was left clueless. Josh & Stephanie were interrogated whole night & DAN also was present to help them in every possible way.................it was going to be a really rough night.

Emma's mom couldn't sleep at night nor could her friends or her brother's. Their bleary eyes depicted their pain.They had just survived one of the longest night of their life & still their beloved Emma was missing .As the bright sunshine broke towards the end of that dark night , more help was called. In the morning as they set out to search again & the family was asked to host the media conference ...........One of the head officers received a call & .... & they rushed to the place from where the call was made .....it was nearest the dumping yard to Emma's home. As her mom stepped out of the car she saw her daughter lying surrounded by people who found her......the ambulance didn't arrive yet . Emma was lying on the ground rescued by a tarsh worker . Her hands & legs tightly tied with wire made deep imprints on her pale skin ......her face covered with dried blood ,her clothes ripped off. Half- naked she was lying on the ground motionless today there was no smile . Her body seemed like a brutally crushed soda cane. Her body elicited the night's story. Dark patches of puffed skin .....clearly visible from her torned dress. Oh! Only yesterday she was so young & beautiful & now she as she lay her unprepossessing body on the ground was distorted brutally. Her phone was lying beside her....... crushed to pieces & she was Still breathing.....yes!!! She's still alive .

Admist the crowd & the cries Emma was taken to the hospital........

The doctors examined her & she was in Intensive care Unit .........after four long hours , The senior doctor came out & informed the officer :

" She has been r***d. Severely hit with something heavy which caused her internal bleeding. Bite Marks cover all her body. Beaten to death ......she's got multiple internal injuries, & currently she's facing brain damage. Her situation is very critical. Choked with a rope her neck is swollen making it difficult for her to breathe . She has lost lot of blood through her ruptured v****a ....We are doing everything we can do to save her.. We may be able to save her life......but we can't really say if she'll ever be alive.. She's currently in coma."

The officer's were shocked at the reports & lacked words to convey it to her mom . The family had to face the harsh reality. The officers tried their best to console her family.But all the efforts went futile.The investigations needed a lead & only Emma could provide that. On the other hand the police left no stone unturned to reach the culprit. But as the investigations went on further ........they only got dead ends.It was soon understood this was done purposely to take revenge. But there was no prime suspect. The repeated interrogations left the police clueless. They started gathering every sort of information about her life from her friends & family. ........But every effort proved to be futile.
