You Are Not So Bad

ALEX POV After the outing at the mall, I have to admit I am starting to like here a little bit. Classes have been going on, I have also been hanging out with Xander at many different places. Today is the first project meeting between Jarvis and me. The wind is great today and I can feel it blowing across me on my motorcycle as I ride to Jarvis’s home. I reached the gate of his community and had to cough to get the security guard’s attention as he was staring too much. I informed him that Jarvis was expecting me. He embarrassingly apologizes and confirms on the telephone and then lets me in. I drive slowly admiring the scenery and finally reach his home. His house is elegant and luxurious but simple from the outside. I personally own better houses than this but I do admire the elegance of the house in this foreign country. It was a change of scenery with a beautiful garden on the front porch. I knocked on the door and almost immediately it was opened. A cute little girl was standing there with her arms folded glaring at me. Honestly, I was expecting a maid or Jarvis himself but this was a pleasant surprise. My smile widened little by little as I waited for her to speak. There was silence for a minute but I finally decided to speak as I could see the cute girl’s forehead twitching as she was trying to establish her dominance. I bent down to her height and her frown widened making me chuckle. “My name is Alex, I am here to see Jarvis and you are?”, I said extending my hand to her. “Bianca”, she shook my hand slowly while her eyes examined me up and down. “Are you going to invite me in?”, I asked as I stood up slowly. Her glare became worse as she made way for me. I went in and heard the door close behind me. She started to lead me somewhere but as the silence stretched on, I decided to speak. “Are you angry with me?” She mumbled no and I inwardly chuckled at her cuteness. “I don’t believe you…”, I couldn’t finish my sentence as she interrupted me. “Saturdays are my special time with Jarvis and you interrupted it.” " she angrily said. I stood dumbstruck for some seconds before asking in confusion, “What were you planning to do with him?”. She answered me in a small voice but I didn’t hear her so she repeated it and said, “Tea party.”. I was quiet for a little while before full-on laughing. It was so surprising and funny at the same time. I stopped laughing when I saw her angry and embarrassed face. Scared she would start crying, I bent down and told her, “What if I shorten our meeting today and ask Jarvis to still have the tea party?”. She smiled and immediately hugged me saying, “Yes, yes, yes. Thank you”. I was uncomfortable with the sudden hug and almost reacted but I quickly composed myself and I hugged her back. I then saw Jarvis looking at us and gently separated our hug. I greeted him, “Hey, Jarvis”. JARVIS POV Today was my first project meeting with Alex and I was very excited. I quickly finished my work at the company and rushed home to start preparing. Bianca came to ask me about the tea party and I hurriedly explained to her. She left angrily but I was too engrossed to notice at that moment. I tried out almost every shirt in my closet before deciding to go with a T-shirt. I heard the door close and I knew she must be here. I looked in the mirror examining myself then doing a small pep-talk. The boys will surely laugh at me if they see me like this. I then hurried down so I wouldn’t waste time. I was checking around making sure everything was okay and as I was about to reach the bottom of the stairs, I saw the most beautiful thing I have seen in my life. I stood mesmerized (for I don’t know how long) looking at her laughing. She was beautiful in every way and I think I just fell in love. I slowly came down the stairs just looking at her and Bianca’s interaction but I wasn’t hearing anything as I couldn’t get the image of her laughing out of my head. She greeted me and I hurriedly composed myself and greeted her back. “I hope it wasn’t hard to find here?”, I asked. “No, it wasn’t difficult and I also had a great host who invited me in”, she answered and looked at Bianca. Bianca blushed and chuckled cutely. I strangely stared at Bianca not believing she would be so nice. She noticed my stare and started to run upstairs and said, “Alex, I will see you later”. Something was strange but I didn’t think further and led Alex to the house library. She complimented my house as we were on our way and I showed her around briefly. We entered the library and I noticed her admiring it which was a welcome relief compared to others who would be gushing about how big it is. We went to the seats and not to make the atmosphere uncomfortable, after some small talk I started the project meeting. Around 45 minutes in, I was just thinking about how enjoyable the meeting was going. She was very smart and I didn’t have to explain things she brought up great ideas which made this project going to be awesome. Seeing as she was writing something seriously on her laptop, I took the time to admire her beauty up close. I saw she was about to look up so I arranged my facial expression well. I then asked her, “How has your stay here been?”. She wasn’t expecting the question so she finished her writing closed her laptop and then answered me, “It’s going better than I expected. I have been actually enjoying myself”. Just like that, our conversation continued for about 20 minutes, she then looked at her wristwatch and ended the conversation. “This should be enough for today. I have got to get home”, she said. I was shocked at the suddenness and as she was packing up her things, I assisted her but asked, “It’s just 3 in the afternoon, do you have an appointment?”. “No, but I promised your cute little sister that I would shorten today’s meeting so you could still have the tea party with her”. I paused and she could see the horrifying look I showed and she smiled. “I think it’s great what you are doing with her”, she said as she started leaving the library. I chased after her and pleaded, “Please you can’t tell anyone about this”. She looked at me for some seconds and I was already fidgeting before she replied, “No problem. I will keep your secret for you”. I breathed a sigh of relief before following her. She asked about my parents and siblings and I told her about them briefly but as they were not around (on purpose), I couldn’t introduce them. I wasn’t going to let anyone ruin today but Bianca was a person that couldn’t be put aside. I followed her out the front porch and saw her get on her motorcycle. “Sweet Ride”, I complimented. I didn’t know much about motorcycles but I could tell it was very good. Her smile grew wider and I noted to myself that she loved her motorcycles. “I hope I don’t seem like a creep anymore”, I asked. She thought for a second before saying, “You are not so bad”. “That’s good. To repay you for keeping my little secret, why don’t I show you around sometime? I know Xander has given you a tour but I was born here so there are some specific places he doesn’t know”, I asked her while my heart started to beat fast. “I will think about it. Tell Bianca goodbye for me”, she said before driving off. I don’t know how long I stood there before I heard Bianca shouting my name and my good mood turned sour. I dreaded my future in one hour since I knew what I was going to face.
