Chapter Eight: The Kidnapper

Raeburn is sitting on the couch in their living room when one of their maids walks towards him. Raeburn couldn't figure out why he was annoyed while staring at her. And then, Raeburn realized something. He got annoyed because of the sudden changes in his daughter. He's in the middle of thinking when Red clears her throat in front of him. With a furrowed forehead, Raeburn looks at Red while confusion is written on his face. Suddenly, Raeburn noticed the annoyed expression plastered on Red's eye, causing him to get confused even more. Instead of asking her, Raeburn chose to ignore the emotion that he noticed in Red's eyes.

Raeburn is now comfortable with Red, since she has been their maid for a long time. Aside from that, of all of their maids, Red was the one he trusted the most. That's why Raeburn is not worried about leaving his mansion since he knows that Red will do her job properly. Aside from that, Red is the only person that he will let punish his daughter, Violet, whenever she makes a mistake. In addition, Raeburn wants to teach Violet some good manners. That's why he let Red punish her in the attic of their mansion. Raeburn knew that punishing Violet was wrong. However, that was the only way to make her realize that all that she does is wrong. Raeburn didn't think twice and told Red that she could do whatever she wanted to make Violet a proper lady.

However, Raeburn had noticed the sudden changes in his daughter in the past few days. For that reason, he can't help but get confused since he knows Violet is just a timid and naive girl who lets herself get into trouble. Yet, in just the blink of an eye, Violet changed her personality for an unknown reason. Raeburn stops in his reverie when he hears Red clear her throat in front of him. With that, Raeburn looks at Red, who still looks annoyed at something.

"You are still awake, Sir. Raeburn? Why don't you sleep now," Red asks while creasing his forehead in front of Raeburn?

"Later, Red. So, why are you here?" Raeburn replied Red with confusion plastered on his face.

"I am here because I found out that your daughter is not in her room, Sir. Raeburn."

Raeburn takes a deep breath because of what he heard from Red. Once again, Raeburn gets annoyed when he remembers that Violet is not in their mansion and is going somewhere in the middle of the night. Raeburn got disgruntled since Violet is always stressing him out with all the things that she does. Rather than thinking about Violet, he chose to forget her and answer Red, who was still in front of him.

"I already know about that, Red. I caught her leaving earlier," Raeburn replied to Red.

"Sir. Raeburn, why did you let her go? It's already in the middle of the night!"

"I try to stop her, Red! Yet, she's a stubborn woman!"

"I'm sorry, Sir. Raeburn, your daughter is too much to handle."

"I know, Red. You don't need to tell me about her!"

"I'm sorry, Sir. Raeburn," Red blurted out with an apologetic expression written on her face.

Instead of arguing with Red, Raeburn stands up from where he sits and leaves her dumbfounded. As for Red, she chose to go to her room since she couldn't hide the fact that she was annoyed with them. Instead of thinking about that idea, Red decided to forget them and continued walking towards her room in an aggravated manner.

On the other hand, there is a group of men waiting while they sip their drinks. Though they knew that their master would be mad at them, they still chose to wait for him. With trembling hands and pale skin, they are all looking at their master, who has now arrived in their lair. As they could see their master, the group of men knew that it was their time to meet their end. For that reason, they can't help but pray that their lives will be saved from the hands of the Master, who now looks furious with them.

"G-Good evening, Master," Pablo greeted their Master.

"What's good in the evening, Pablo? All of you are failed in abducting him and yet you have the guts to greet me!" the man wearing a mask shouted at his men.

"S-Sorry, Master. It won't happen again," Pedro intervene with their conversation.

"Then do it! Abduct him again! And make sure his father will be here!" the man wearing a mask yells again to his men.

"Y-Yes, Master," the group of men answered in unison.

After that, the man wearing a mask leaves the area while still looking mad at his men. Though he knew that his enemy was not easy to handle, he didn't expect that his men would be failed by abducting a small child. That's why he can't help but be annoyed with his men, who are now looking pale because of him. Instead of stressing himself even more, he chose to forget that idea since he knew that there were many chances of abducting the child of his enemy.

When he is already in the parking lot, the man who is wearing a mask gets in the car and leaves the place in a hurry. On his way, the mysterious man is still thinking about how he will get revenge on Dustin, who ruined his life in the past. As he remembers the past, he feels that all the pain is slowly coming back to him. That's why he can't help but hold his chest while he's gritting his teeth. All of a sudden, he found himself crying while remembering his traumatic past because of Dustin, who ruined his life and killed the important people in it. And in that moment, he made a pact on himself that no matter what happens he will Dustin.

"Wait for my revenge, Dustin! I promised that you will suffer just like me!" the man whispered to himself while still driving his car.
