Chapter Nine: Failed

One week has passed when Nickel got recovered from all of the bruises that he gets from the persons who planned to abduct him. As a young child, Violet can understand his fear whenever he's alone since she noticed to Nickel that he has been traumatized for what happened to him. For that reason, Violet can't help but feel furious with those group of persons who abduct Nickel just to get their revenge for Dustin. And then, Violet realized something that as she goes back from the past, she noticed that there is something that has changed. Since as far as she remembered when she's already twenty-three Violet started to train herself as an assassin. However, as she is twenty-three years old now since she came from the past, Violet already met Dustin when in fact she recalled in her past life that they met when she was already an assassin. 

In addition, Violet didn't expect that she will become an instant mommy of Nickel just because of her viral video. Violet discovered that one of the maids of Dustin saw her video on the internet and to make Nickel happy, Mishka told to him, that she is the mother of the child. When in fact, Violet knew that she is still pure and no man touches her. Though she's confused because of what's happening to her new life, Violet chose to go with the flow, while she's preparing for her half-sister's arrival, one of the reasons why her life is a mess. 

To avoid being hurt again, Violet promised herself that she will not be weak again just like her past self. Aside from that, she wants to know her killer in her past life. That's why she looks for information about her opponent in her past life so that she will recognize who's the one who killed her in her home. However, no matter what she does, she didn't get any information about them, that's why Violet can't help but feel dismayed in herself. Instead of thinking about that idea and stressing herself, Violet chose to forget all of her problems since she doesn't want Nickel to be worried about her. 

Since Nickel always wants to see her, Violet and Dustin have an agreement that she will become the instant mommy of his son. In exchange, Dustin will pay her, however, Violet didn't agree with him, since she doesn't need his money. Besides, Violet is happy taking care of Nickel. Violet stops from her reverie when Mishka talks to her. With that, Violet looks at Mishka with confusion on her face. 

"Ma'am Violet, are you okay? Are you being annoyed in waiting for him?" Mishka asks Violet with a pale complexion. 

"I'm okay, Mishka. Don't worry about me. I'm just thinking about something," Violet answered with a smile on her face. 

"Are you sure, Ma'am Violet? Do you want something to eat?" Mishka asks again with an awkward smile in front of Violet. 

"I'm doing alright, Mishka. Don't worry about me," Violet replied with a big smile on her face. 

Since Nickel is traumatized about what happened to him, Dustin decided to bring him to a psychiatrist to check his condition. And the reason why Violet is with them is, Nickel requests that he wants to see her. That's why Dustin didn't waste his time and asks Violet to accompany his son to a psychiatrist since he has an emergency meeting with his company. After a minute of waiting, they finished to a psychiatrist and then they decided to leave the hospital. 

As they walking in the hallway of the hospital, Violet noticed that someone is staring at them intently especially at Nickel. All of a sudden, Violet got uncomfortable since she feels like there is something big that is going to happen. To protect Nickel, Violet chose to carry him before looking at the man who keeps staring at them. After that, Violet smirks at the man who keeps staring at them before sticking out her tongue at him, like she's making him mad. Violet knew what she's doing is dangerous for them, however, she's sure that the man can't take any action against them since they are still in the hospital. Besides, there are a lot of people in the hospital that why Violet is not afraid that the man will attack them without thinking twice unless he's a newbie with his job. 

"Ma'am Violet, is there a problem?" 

"Nothing, Mishka. Walks faster and tells the driver to start the engine immediately," Violet let out with a serious expression plastered on her face. 

"G-Got it, Ma'am." 

With that, Mishka didn't waste her time and walks faster towards their car. As for Violet, she also walks faster while she's still carrying Nickel. In just a blink of an eye, there is a man who shows up in front of Violet causing her to stop walking. Instead of being afraid of him, Violet got annoyed with him since she's right with her intuition, he is the enemy of Dustin. 

"Who are you?" Violet asks the man with a blank expression.

"You don't need to know! If you don't want to get hurt, just give me that child!" 

Rather than answering him, Violet kicks the man in the leg causing him to groan in pain. After that, she continues walking not minding the man who is now groaning in pain. Afraid that the man follows them to Dustin's Mansion, Violet decided to go to Armstrong's Empire where Dustin is. Aside from that, Violet also wants to talk to Dustin about something.

Inside the hospital, the man who plans to kidnapped Nickel is still groaning in pain inflicted by Violet. As he grunting in pain, his other companion arrives at the scene with a confused expression written on their faces. For that reason, the man who's still in pain got annoyed with his companion because they arrive late in the scene. 

"Pablo, are you okay? You look in pain," Bert blurted out with a furrowed forehead. 

"This all your fault, Bert. I told you to move faster but you didn't listen to me! For the second time, we failed to abduct him!" Pablo yells at Bert while he is clenching his jaw. 

In just a blink of an eye, all of the patients and nurses look in their direction with a frightened expressions because of what they heard from Pablo. Without thinking twice, Bert pulls Pablo outside in the hospital since he doesn't want to make another commotion. Since they got failed again, Bert ready himself for the punishment they will experience at the hands of their Master.
