Chapter Twelve: Dark Stallion

It's already midnight, but Violet is still awake and preparing herself for her mission. Looking at herself in the mirror, she tied her hair into a ponytail, then wore jeans and a crop top, and paired it with her black boots. She also put light makeup on her face before wearing her mask for her disguise. She then exits her room, carrying her two katanas on her back.Afraid that someone might see her leaving their mansion, Violet walks faster until she goes outside their residence. When Violet is already outside of their mansion, she rides in her car and drives away, heading to Dark Stallion, with a wicked grin plastered on her face.

Violet knew that the Dark Stallion was a dangerous place because of all the bad people who lived there.Aside from that, the Dark Stallion is a place where you can find all the criminals that have been hiding from the police. Even though the police know where all the criminals are hiding, they can't easily go to the Dark Stallion since it is dangerous for them. However, Violet didn't feel scared since she was used to it. In addition, in her past life as an assassin, Dark Stallion, is a place for her where she can relax. In addition, in Dark Stallion, she also met some people that would be her companions until the end. That's why Violet is excited to see them again, since she can't hide the fact that she misses her best friends from her past life.

Aside from that, Violet wants to change the destiny of one of her best friends who died on their mission in her past life. Violet knows that changing the destiny of one person is wrong. However, she's sure that no matter what happens, she will do everything to save her best friend. And then, Violet found herself smiling while thinking about her best friends who would never betray her until the end. That's why Violet is thankful for her past life since, even though her father didn't love her, her best friends treated her like family.

In the middle of her drive, Violet noticed that someone was following her car. Rather than being scared, a smile plastered on her face when she realized who was following her. Since Violet is still annoyed at him, she drives faster until she doesn't see Dustin's car. Instead of slowing down, Violet continues driving hastily, since she can't deny the fact that she doesn't want to talk to Dustin. The truth is, Violet is going to the Dark Stallion to look for the group that abducted Nickel. In addition, Violet wants to know who their leader is, since there's a person she's suspicious of, but she's not sure if her guess is right.

While driving her car, Violet immediately stops when there's a car that shows up in front of the road. For that reason, Violet gets furious at the person who bothered her, until she realizes something. And then, she saw Dustin getting out of his car with an annoyed expression on her face. In the blink of an eye, Violet takes off her mask to hide it from Dustin before getting out of her car.

"Violet! Are you trying to kill me?" Dustin blurted out with an irritated expression plastered on his face.

"Are you out of mind, Dustin? You're the one who shows up in front of the road!" Violet replied Dustin while raising her left eyebrow.

"That's because you have not answered my calls and text for one week! Is there a problem, Violet?"

"Nothing, Dustin."

"Then, why are you not answering my calls or text?"

"I'm busy, Dustin."

"I know that you are not busy, Violet. You are just avoiding me, am I right?"

"I'm not avoiding you, Dustin. I was just busy with something."

Dustin took a deep breath because of what he heard from Violet. Though Violet tells him it was nothing, Dustin can't be wrong with his guess. There's something that Violet didn't tell him, causing him to get confused. Since he wasn't satisfied with her answer, Dustin nags Violet until she tells him about the reason why she's avoiding him.

"Come on, Violet, tell me, why are you avoiding me?"

"Let's not talk about that, Dustin. I have something important that needs to finish tonight."

With that, Violet rides in her car again, then starts the engine and leaves Dustin dumbfounded. As for Dustin, he decided to follow Violet since he feels that Violet is hiding something from him.

On the other hand, in the place called Dark Stallion, there is a street that is forbidden to all criminals living in the area. That street is called "Death Alley" and it is handled by the most notorious gang in the place. The reason why they are the strongest gang in the place is someone is backing them up. That's why they treated the place like they were the ones who owned the area.

"Boss, I found out that Pablo's Group has failed in their mission," the man with yellow hair delivered the news to their leader.

"I know that news already. That's why I called all our members to announce our new mission," the man they called leader said while sitting on a steel chair.

"What is our new mission, Leader?" the petite man intervenes with a conversation.

Suddenly, the man who is sitting on the steel chair flashes a grin on his face before answering his underling. "Our new mission is to kidnap the son of Dustin Armstrong. Since Pablo's group have failed with their mission, our higher-ups told me that we are the ones who will handle that task from now on."

Instead of answering their leader, all of the underlings of the man who's sitting on the steel chair nod at him with a big smile on their faces. Looking at his underlings, a gigantic smile spread across his face and his eyes lit up like fireworks in the sky because of the idea on his mind. Even though he knew that their mission was hard, the man comprehended to himself that they would be successful in the task that they would do. And he would make sure that their boss wouldn't regret his decision on giving them their new assignment.
