Kat's love

chapter 3

After Kat got home from school, she spent the afternoon cleaning up around the house and playing with her little siblings. She had dinner with her family and then hung out in her room doing her homework while she waited for Felisha to get there.

Felisha and Kat had lived next door to each other there whole lives, so they where always spending the night at eachothers houses. When Kat heard the front door open, she flew down the stairs to get her friend.

"Hey girl." Felisha said when she saw Kat.

"Hey" Kat replied as she grabbed some stuff Felisha brought, "Come on let's go to my room. Mom, Felisha is staying over tonight."

"Okay hun. Felisha have you eaten dinner yet? I'm still working on cleaning the kitchen up if you're hungry." Kats mom called from the kitchen.

"No thanks, mom. Had dinner with the rents before I came over. They said to say hi and mom said to have you text her about book club." Felisha responded.

"Oh shoot, I almost forgot. Thanks for reminding me sweety."

Felisha, Moxon, and Kat were as close as family and so were they're parents. It was normal from them to refer to each other's parents as there mom or dad.

Kat and Felisha headed up to Kat's room. When they got behind the closed door Kat went and opened her window. Moxon lived on the other side of Kat's house, which is the same side that Kats room was on and there bedrooms were right acrossed from each other. He used to come to the sleepovers when they were kids but now they just open the windows so he could still be apart of it.

While Kat was doing that Felisha asked, "So did you text Erik and let him know what's up yet or no??"

"I texted him hey but that was it and he never responded. I feel like I need to talk to him about it in person, you know."

"Oh okay, I get that but don't wait to long."

"Yeah I know..." Kat shook her head, "Hey call Moxon already and tell him to open up."

Felisha called him and put him on speaker phone, "Hey babe, open your window." Then she started to paint her nails.

"Okay." Moxon said and opened his window, then he said, "Hey girls, sleepover?"

"Yup!" The girls said together and giggled.

"Cool! So Kat someone want to talk to you." He said teasingly.

"What who??" Kat asked. He first thought when to Erik but if he want to talk to her then he could have texted her back, which he never did. She looked out the window and saw she was right. Erik was standing there waving at her. Kat felt like her heart did a flip in her chest and Felisha stopped paints her nails to look at Kat. Felisha was loving all of this.

"Hey, Erik, what's up?" Kat finally managed to say.

"What's up? Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" Erik asked. He didnt sound mad just curious.

"What do you mean?" Kat asked pretending to be confused even though she knew exactly what he meant.

"I mean what's up with the other night? We kissed which was great but then you just stopped and when I tried to get near you again, you backed away. Then you just took off."

"I'm... sorry, okay?? Look I only backed off because if my mom had seen us, then I wouldn't be allowed to be anywhere near you again."

"Why?"

"Be-Because... Because im not allowed to date anyone, well anyone except for moxon."

All of a sudden the phone had been hung up and no one was in the window. Then, with in seconds, the doorbell rang. Kat and Felisha looked at eachother.

"Kat! Moxon and that boy you were talking to last night are here to see you." Kat's mom call from downstairs.

Kat and Felisha ran downstairs and found Erik and Moxon standing at the door. Kat looked at them, then to her mom and asked, "Can they come up for a few minutes?"

"I dont know.... What time is it?"

"8:30pm"

"For 30 minutes." Kat and her friends started up the stairswhen her mom started saying, "Oh and Kat..." Felisha and Moxon keeped going, already knowing what was going to be said and her mom looked at Erik and says, "The door stays open."

Kat nodded at her mom and ushered Erik to her room. Everyone was quite.

"I did think you were serious." Erik finally said, "But why is Moxon exempt?"

"I was but clearly you do trust me. What in your right mind are you doing here?" Kat said then glared at Moxon who knew better. he put his hands up in surrender. "Moxon doesn't count because my mom used to babysit him. She knows him and trusts him."

"I'm sorry." Erik said and wrapped his arms around Kat.

"Kat!" Her mom said. She was standing in the door way and Kat tried to move away for Erik but he held her tight. She looked up at him and he shook his head no. Kat knew it was to late and looked to her mother.

"They need to leave." her mom said.

"But-" Kat tried to respond.

"Now!" Her mom said in a stern voice.

Kat tried to argue but then Erik spoke up, "Yes ma'am, but may we have a minute to say goodbye?"

"Sure." her mom said but didn't leave.

Moxon said goodbye to Felisha with a kiss and Kat looked to Erik.

"It'll be okay." He said then Kissed her forehead. Her mother looked at her like she was stupid. Erik continued, "I'll see you tomorrow." He kissed her head again and left this Moxon.

When they were gone, Kat was blushing and her mother asked, "What do you think you are doing?"

"Living my life mom. I like him and he's likes me."

"You know the rules. No dating. Beside i thought you liked Moxon?"

Felisha had had enough of this she spoke up for her friend, "Stop! Moxon is MY boyfriend!"

"I'm sorry, Felisha"

"It's okay but you dont know Erik. He really cares for Kat even though they just meet. He see who she is at heart. Can you see it when he looks at her?"

"Mom please understand how I feel." Kat add.

After a moment off silence Kat's mom asked, "You really like this boy?" Kat nodded. "Fine."

"Really?" Kat asked surprised and excitedly.

"Yes, but there will be ground rule do you understand? Starting with no more going behind my back!"

"Yes mom!" Kat said almost bouncing over and hugging her mom.

When her mom left the room, Kat ran over to the window. She found Erik hanging out it slightly, he had heard everything.

"Meet me out back."He said.

"Yeah!" Kat replied then turns to Felisha and asked, "You coming?"

Felisha nodded and they both headed to the backyard. The boys were waiting for them by the fence. Kat ran straight to Erik's arms and Felish to Moxon's. Erik Kissed Kat like there was no tomorrow. When they stopped to catch there breath, Kat saw that Felisha and Moxon were in a trance all there own.

"You guys should head back in now." Erik said after a few minutes, "I don't want your mom to regret her decision."

They kissed one last time for the night then Kat went and got Felisha from Moxon. They allspice goodnight and headed into there respective houses. When there went to bed for the night Kat was truly happy. She didn't know what tomorrow would bring but she knew she would face it with the people she cared about. She was done hidding from her own life, It was time to live it.
