The Night Before

When Markus arrived at his apartment after dinner, he was surprised to see Sarah waiting for him. She was dressed in one of her signature tight dresses that accentuated her curves. Alex and Devin were in the kitchen area drinking beer watching his reaction. “Sarah, hi. What are you doing here baby?” Markus greeted her and gave her a hug. “Baby I was thinking about what you said, and you were right, if I’m going to be worried about you, I may as well just be here too. I signed up for classes and can’t wait to be with you all the time now. I have my own apartment, but I put my stuff in your room. You don’t mind sharing right? That way we can sleep together every night.” Markus was too shocked to really process what Sarah said. He was happy she was here, but he needed to check with his friends if it was ok for her to stay with them. Since they shared the apartment. Luckily Alex knew what Markus was thinking and spoke up. “Actually, Sarah we all made a promise that none of us would have girls stay the night unless it’s our mate. It’s a guy’s only zone, sorry.” Markus was proud his friend came up with that so quickly. Sarah on the other hand wasn’t giving up. “Alex that’s a great rule but I’m an exception right. I’m not a random girl. I’m his girlfriend and your future Luna.”Devin had to help him out and throw in his opinion. “Sorry Sarah, we talked about it. What if Markus finds his true mate and you’re living here. It would be best if you stayed in your own apartment at night. You might find your mate as well. It's good to have some boundaries.”

Sarah was upset and tried to talk Markus into ignoring them because she believed even if they found their mates that they would reject them to stay together. She truly believed she would be his Luna no matter what. Markus helped her walk to her apartment carrying her luggage. Once in her room she pushed him down on the bed and straddled him. “Markus, honey you know how much I missed you. One night without you was torture.” She started kissing his neck and he let his hands roam her body. Grabbing her breast and letting her grind on his lap. It wasn’t long before they were both undressed and he was thrusting into her. Once they found their release, he hugged her until she fell asleep, and he walked back to his place.

In the morning he was once again exhausted from going to bed late. When he walked out of his room, he saw that Sarah was once again waiting for him in the living room. She had on short shorts and a tight, low-cut top. He made a metal note to talk to her about her outfits if she’s to be his Luna. She needs to dress a little more appropriate. Once Sarah noticed him she was immediately hanging off his arm asking for a tour and tagged along for breakfast with the guys.

They grabbed food and sat at a table in the corner of the dining hall. They all talked about how their classes were going so far and the classmates the met. Sarah kept complaining that she was cold and had Markus hug her. It made it difficult to eat his food, but he was the one who told her she should enroll in school, so he felt bad complaining about it. He should have known what to expect. After a while he started to smell that delicious scent, he really wanted to find out what it was because it was driving him crazy not knowing.

Markus started looking around from side to side. He noticed his friends looking behind him and when he turned around, he was frozen. Markus was shocked to see the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen with golden eyes he couldn’t look away from. Sarah started rubbing her hands on his arm “Markus, baby. Is everything ok? You stopped breathing and look like you saw a ghost.” He looked at Sarah and back at the woman and saw the hurt on her face. He didn’t know what to do. The woman turned and walked away without saying anything to him. He was still frozen in shock. He couldn’t believe he found his true mate and had Sarah hanging all over him. His parents were right. He shouldn’t have been dating anyone until he found her. Who would he pick, would she even want him now?

Alex was the first to speak “That was your mate wasn’t it, Markus?” Devin had to add on “Bro, I told you to have some boundaries. You guys shouldn’t be together. Now our Luna is upset.” As Gamma his job is to protect the Luna and he has a special connection with her. He can sense her emotions. Sarah was upset by that statement “I’m your future Luna, you should treat me with more respect. Markus isn’t going to leave me for her.” Markus was still thinking about everything that had happened and decided it was time to get to class. Sarah tried grabbing onto him, asking him to walk her to her class but he left before she could stand up. Sarah was left feeling frustrated and needed to come up with a plan to keep him away from his mate. She couldn’t believe he found her his 3rd day at school. Alex and Devin could tell how upset she was and that she was going to make it difficult for their friend to be with his true mate. If only he would have listened to everyone and not been with Sarah, then things would be easier. They talked in the mind link making a deal to keep an eye on both women and try to help Markus repair the damage he caused and hopefully find a way to get rid of Sarah.
