I can’t help, but feel the nostalgia whenever I walk into my kids elementary school. If I close my eyes and listen, I swear I can hear Eric and I sitting at a lunch table in this cafeteria. No, we didn’t go to this exact school, but they all have the same sights and sounds and smells. I’m almost misty-eyed thinking about how my oldest, Kyle, will be off to middle school next year. It’s crazy how life ticks by so fast. It’s like watching an hourglass timer in a board game. Your turn is just over before you know it.
I make my way over to the sign in booth for the bake sale. There’s no poster directing me where to go, but the table placed up front has a gaggle of moms surrounding it, so it’s easy to spot.
