When Jenny Lynn asks you to do something, you do it. I don’t know how she manages it, except to say that you find yourself agreeing before you realize the question. I can see why Matthew and Eric have their hands full.

Anyway, that’s how she roped me into house-sitting for them while they went on their cruise vacation. The kids are with Matthew’s parents, but Jenny Lynn wanted someone to water the plants and check the mail without having to bother her mother-in-law, Maria, to do more in their absence. Jenny Lynn even scheduled an air-conditioning maintenance appointment for the house that I would need to be there for, just as an extra excuse to ask me to stay.
