Chapter 17

"Wow..." I exclaimed as I stared in awe at a massive golden gate, my mouth wide open. As soon as you enter the gate, you can tell that the people who live there are wealthy. Even though I haven't seen the actual house, I am awestruck by what I see. Aside from the golden gate, there are tall and lush trees lining the path, as well as colorful plants nearby. It reminded me of the location I saw in my dream before waking up. "Wipe your saliva first, you'll see a lot more," Kheed laughed as he drove next to me in the car. I also laughed and shook my head at what he said. "It's a waste of a wipe, it's just a wipe later," I retorted, drawing more laughter from him. "Finally, someone appreciates my wit!" he exclaimed, laughing. Mom and I both smiled as we shook our heads. "Before I forget, why didn't my boyfriend pick us up?" I asked, looking out the window where the car was passing. "He wants to, but he can't because, as I told you, your boyfriend is the president of a large corporation, and every minute counts." "Shouldn't I be important too?" I asked, making me feel smug. I'm his girlfriend, right? "Like I said, he wants to but he can't because there are so many big investors coming today that even if he wanted to postpone it, he can't. Don't worry, he'll be here later," he replied with a smile. I tried to return the smile, but I remained dejected. I had assumed he would be the one to pick us up, but I was surprised to see Kheed arrive. I'm not upset with Kheed; I'm just disappointed. I'm only hoping because he's the one who suggested living with him. We decided to stay with them after their last visit while I was still recovering. And because I was only now going to see Mom again, I refused to agree if she wasn't included. Mom initially refused, but after Lucas whispered something to her, she agreed. I'm not sure what he said, but I'm guessing it was for my memory. Because the doctor advised, I should remain in the location of my memories in order for my lost memories to return more easily. And they say that because my boyfriend and I spend so much time together, it will be easier for my memories to recover. I was so deep in thought that I didn't notice the car coming to a halt. I was taken aback when the door on my side opened. "We've arrived." As I stepped outside, I noticed a massive palace. I gasped starting at the large building in front of me. Am I really a princess who lives in a palace? His home is not a house, it's a palace! This is not the typical palace seen in fairytale books; its structure, particularly its color, is more modern. The wall is white with a glass window through which you can see what's inside. Even from outside, I can see the massive chandelier inside, which I know is cost prohibitive. I turned around and was even more astounded by what I saw. The place is spotless, clearly not neglected in terms of cleanliness. It appears to be a wonderful place to live. I'm not quite certain why I'm still here. "I never thought his house was so big..." I overheard my mother say as she gazed in awe of the place like me. "Why, mother? Haven't you been here before?" I'm perplexed. She did not respond right away. "Ah, aunt should have come earlier, but your mother preferred to stay at your house with your brother." " I have a brother?" I asked, surprised. They never mentioned him to me. "Didn't I mention him to you? You have a brother. He's two years younger than you. His name is Hunter," Mom responded. "Where is he? Why didn't he even come to see me?" " Allow me to apologize for him; the day Lucas came to our house and informed me of your condition was also the day he had to attend an important school tour; he didn't want to leave to see you; I was the only one who forced him to leave because that tour is important for his grade." I nodded to what mom said, acknowledging the situation. "When will he return?" "His tour will last for a month, so it appears to take a long time; that's also the only reason I agreed to accompany you now because he's not here; but when he returns, I'll leave." "Are you going to leave me?" I lamented. Not that I don't want to be alone here. I simply want to be with her. I've been unconscious for two months. I just want to spend time with my mother. "Your boyfriend is here, as are his friends; they will not abandon you. Your brother needs me; he is still a minor who requires the care of his parents. Don't worry; we will always visit here," Mom smiled. Even if I didn't want to, I couldn't help but nod and agree. She is correct; my brother requires her more. "But aunty, boss told me you should stay with Samantha," Kheed said after taking our belongings from the trunk. "I can't leave my child alone." "Don't worry, aunty, your son will also live here when he returns; that was one of the boss's orders," Kheed replied, putting a smile back on my lips. "Does that mean you're not leaving anymore? Can I stay with you longer?" I asked, clutching her arm. I could see the shock on her face as a result of what I did, then she appeared to be about to cry and tightly gripped my hand that was clinging to her arm. "Are you okay? Do you really not want to live here? If you don't want to, I'm not going to force you, so don't cry, mom." She shook her head before looking at me, tears welling up in her eyes. "I'm just glad." "Is anyone crying happily, ma?" I chuckled, making her laugh as well. "Let's go inside before you both start crying." I had completely forgotten about him. Mom and I both nodded and smiled as we followed him. My amusement is not over yet, because as we enter the house, the interior and design of my boyfriend's house screams wealth. Every corner is white and spotless. There are obviously tools that will cost a thousand dollars. And as soon as you open the door, the large and spacious living room will greet you. The house is stunning on the outside, but even more so on the inside. Everything from furniture to spotlights. The color and arrangement of the house indicate that the man who lives here is a man. Because the house's color is very masculine. White and black provide contrast throughout. "Is he what the young master is talking about?" I turned to see an old woman smiling at me. "Hello!" I cheerfully greeted her. In response, she moved. " Welcome to Casa de Luna, Lady Samantha."
