Prologue
Amidst the chaos and urgency of the bustling hospital halls, women were preparing to bring new lives into the world. In one room, a woman with striking green eyes clutched at her stomach in agony. Despite having gone through this process twice before, the pain was no less intense for the fiery-haired mother-to-be. Sweat glistened on her forehead as she watched the flurry of activity around her.
"I'm right here, okay?" A gentle voice reassured her, accompanied by a tight grip of a hand. Her sister sat beside her, a comforting presence amidst the whirlwind of unknown faces in the room.
"I've been through this more times than you," the green-eyed woman managed to joke between waves of excruciating contractions. Each time seemed more intense and unbearable than the last, though that's what she always thought with each subsequent pregnancy after her first. As the pressure built and subsided, she clenched her sister's hand tightly, following the commands to push from the doctor and nurses who were only trying to help but seemed to fuel her frustration.
After several rounds of pushing and gasping for air, it all came to an end with a resounding cry that filled the room. "Congratulations, Luna," announced the doctor as he held up a small bundle. Luna lay there, exhausted and breathless, but was finally able to catch her first glimpse of her newborn baby. The little girl's dark hair and piercing blue eyes bore a striking resemblance to her father. Tears welled up in Luna's own eyes as she was handed her precious daughter.
