iSLA'S POV I layed back on the bed just like he had said. I don even know why I was being I obedient, I'm not usually the obedient type. "Finally woke up" it was the sound of a feminine voice breaking me out of my thought. "Who are you?" I asked with curiosity. She was beautiful, old but still beautiful. "I'm Dr. Vee" she said with a smile " are you having any headache or feeling dizzy?" She asked "No, I'm fine" I answered. I wasn't paying attention to what she was doing, i wad paying attention to her grey and silky hair. I blinked, her hair is not important right now Isla. "Where am I" I asked her "You're in the pack house" she said, like I was supposed to know what that meant. I quirked my brows at her. "The pack house in the black waters pack" she said, her brows were scrunched together " are you sure you're not having headaches" "I'm sure I'm not having headaches. The only weird thing is that bird talking to me" I said annoyed "Yeah that's perfectly normal" "Really! Oh thank God I thought I was going crazy" I said, letting out a breath of relief "I wad being sarcastic". She narrowed her gaze at me "Isla if you're feeling pain in any way let me know okay" I awkwardly nodded my head, feeling like a lunatic. The door opened and a girl walked in. She had blonde hair and green eyes. Did no one knock around here! "Dr vee, didn't expect you to be here" the blonde said in surprise. "I'm already done with her." She wrapped up her tools and walked out "call me if anything happens" She walked out and I was left alone with the blonde girl. "Daddy told me that there was someone I should come see up stairs. I thought it was strange until he told me everything" she said excitedly "Oh" I said in surprise. She looked to be around my age, so it was a surprise to see that the he had a daughter this grown. I guess I underestimated how he looked. "I didn't know he had a kid." I muttered under my breath, but she heard me. Her hearing must be really good. "He actually has three, but I'm the oldest" she sat down on the bed beside me. Three! He has three children. Wow! I did not see that coming. A wave of embarrassment rushed through my body and my cheeks turned pink. "That's great" I said with a smile, trying to hide my embarrassment. "What's wrong?" She asked, leaning closer to me. "Nothing, nothing's wrong. I'm just grateful to your dad for saving my life. I'm gonna be out of your hair in no time" I stared at my fingers the whole time. "My dad didn't save you, uncle Grayson did. Wait a minute, did you think I was talking about Uncle Grayson this whole time" she giggled My face lit up with joy. He didn't have kids. But that doesn't mean he's not married. "Grayson's the one with the pretty eyes right?" I asked and she raised her eyebrows at me. A smile, slowly creeping on her face. "I see someone has a crush on him" she nudged my shoulder " but that's a bummer cause everyone in the pack, I mean area has a crush on him" "Doesn't he have a wife or a girlfriend" I asked, glancing to the side. My cheeks becoming more red "Uncle Grayson?" She laughed " uncle Grayson has been single since I was born. He has never been in a relationship either" Since she was born, how old is he exactly. The dude looks like he's in his early thirties. Maybe thirty one, or probably twenty nine if I'm being generous. But it doesn't matter anyways, age is just a number to me. What matters is who you are on the inside. "So he's single" I said biting the insides of my cheek. "Damn girl, you are falling hard" she said with a grin "I'm not in love with him, I'm just grateful for what he did. That's all" I said, but the blush on my cheek was telling another story. "You're in luck girl cause he want you to stay" she said, grining from ear to ear. "What? Why?" I asked. Why would he want me to stay. "He's offering you a job" she said smiling sheepishly "A job! I have no credentials, no work experience. The only thing I know how to do is cook and clean" I was panicking really bad She placed her hand on my shoulder " relax. You don't need any of those for the job he's offering. And plus, the pay is really good" she wiggled her eyebrows "How much?" She leaned closer and whispered the amount in my ear. "What?" I yelled in shock " who pays that amount for cooking and cleaning?" "You're not cooking and cleaning, you'll be his second assistant" "I didn't go to college and I'm freshly out of highschool. I don't think I qualify for this position" I said, shaking my head. This was too good to be true. "That's not for you to decide. Give this a chance and let's see how it goes. If you can't do it, then you drop out. But if you can, you continue" She was right. What did I have to loose anyways. At least with this job, I can be able to pay all of Dad's debts within months and be free. "I'll take it" I said and she squealed "That's amazing" she hugged me, catching me off guard. I smiled at her. "I didn't get your name though" I said, realizing that she didn't tell me her name "I'm Yasmine, but every one calls me yazzy" she held out her hand "I'm isla, but everyone calls me Isla" we both laughed at the subtle joke. I liked the way I just clicked with her, like I had just found my long lost best friend. I smiled at her, knowing that we would be friends for a long time.
