Chapter 1: The Strange Occurrences

Chapter 1.A: Only Time Will Tell Sia and Arden had been dating for a few weeks, but it felt like they had known each other forever. They spent every moment they could together, exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and just enjoying each other's company. But as the days went by, Sia started to notice strange occurrences around her. It started with little things, like a car following her on her way home from work or a strange number calling her phone but hanging up as soon as she answered. At first, she brushed it off as a coincidence, but as the occurrences became more frequent, she couldn't ignore them any longer. Sia's POV One evening, as we were enjoying dinner at a cozy Italian restaurant, I decided to bring it up to Arden. "Den, have you noticed anything strange happening around us lately?" I asked. He looked at me quizzically. "What do you mean, Si?" "I mean, have you noticed anyone following us or anything like that?" I said, feeling slightly paranoid. He shook his head. "No, I haven't noticed anything like that. Why do you ask?" I hesitated for a moment before finally speaking. "I don't know. It's just that strange things have been happening to me lately, and I can't help but feel like it's connected to us." "What kind of strange things?" He asked, his voice laced with concern. "It's hard to explain," I said, feeling slightly foolish for bringing it up. "But I keep feeling like someone is watching me, and I've been getting weird phone calls and messages." His expression darkened. "Have you told anyone about this?" I shook my head. "No, I didn't want to worry anyone. But I feel like I have to tell you. I don't know if it's all a coincidence, or if there's something more sinister at play." Arden reached across the table and took my hand. "I'm here for you, Sia. Whatever it is, we'll figure it out together." I felt a sense of relief wash over me as I looked into his reassuring eyes. I knew that I had someone in my corner, someone who would support me no matter what. As we continued our conversation over dinner, I couldn't help but feel grateful for having Arden in my life. But little did she know that their love was about to be tested in ways they never could have imagined. As the days went by, the strange occurrences around me continued to escalate. I started receiving strange packages at work and home, with no sender information. Sometimes, I would find my car had been tampered with, and on one occasion, I even found a note on my front door that read: "I'm watching you." I was becoming increasingly worried and paranoid, and it was starting to affect my relationship with Arden. I found it hard to concentrate on anything else, and I was constantly on edge, waiting for the next strange occurrence to happen. One evening, as we were enjoying a quiet night in, my phone rang. I looked at the number and didn't recognize it, but I answered it anyway. It was a strange voice on the other end, saying nothing but breathing heavily. That moment my heart started racing, and I hung up the phone quickly, feeling terrified. "What's wrong, Si?" Arden asked, noticing the look of fear on my face. "It was another strange phone call," I said, my voice trembling. "I don't know what to do, Den. I'm scared." He took me in his arms and held me tight. "We'll figure this out, Si. I won't let anything happen to you." But I wasn't so sure. I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching me, that someone was trying to harm me. And as much as I loved Alex, I couldn't help but wonder if he was somehow involved in all of this. As the night wore on, I couldn't sleep. I kept replaying all the strange occurrences in my head, trying to make sense of it all. And as I lay there, I couldn't help but wonder if my love for Arden was blinding me to the truth. "Was there really a love conspiracy at play, or was it all just in my head?" Only time would tell.
