Chapter 25 “They shouldn’t be able to pick up our scent here,” Korrin whispered. The sun was going down; they’d been traveling most of the day. Korrin had pushed them hard, but it was a good burn. We’re putting an end to this—tonight. They had left at first light, even before the rest of the people in the camp were up. Kris had wanted to say goodbye to her parents, in case it was the last time she ever saw them, but she knew they would try to talk her out of going back to the Shifters, or worse, they would have tried to come with her.
