Chris's POV The moment the beast charges after Dylan outside the hall, I don’t even hesitate. I run after them, heart pounding with something close to excitement. Oh, I can’t wait to see that monster rip Dylan to pieces. It’s going to be fun. Satisfying, even. And if it comes down to it—if the beast needs a little help ending that miserable Alpha’s life—I’ll gladly step in and offer a hand. I follow the creature as it barrels toward the training ground.
