Chapter 7 Regrets and Apologies Part 1

Sandra (Anthony's mother) pov

I have no idea how Daniel is going to work this out, but he has to do it quickly before he loses his son for good. I have never seen Anthony this upset before. The mate bond is a powerful thing. You just don't mess with it, especially if the person is an alpha. An alpha is more possessive of their mates than a regular werewolf. This is what my mate will find out.

Suddenly, there is a flash of bright light, and then everything goes back to normal. In front of me stood none other than the moon goddess herself in her long flowing white dress, her waist-length white hair, and grey eyes.

"Moon goddess," I said, surprised.

"My daughter, I know what you are going through, and I understand," said the Moon goddess.

"What does this have to do with me?" I asked her.

"Everything," she responded. "Your son is a tribrid. What your mate has not told him is that he is a werewolf/vampire hybrid, while you're a werewolf/witch hybrid. You became a hybrid when Daniel marks you. Thus, Anthony is a werewolf/vampire/wizard tribrid. Now that he is eighteen, his powers will be unlocked, and it's going to take both you and Daniel to train him into controlling his powers. Therefore, he had made the right decision in not accepting the alpha title right now. As for his mate, when she turns eighteen and they mated, and he has marked her, she will change. You are the one who will train her on how to be a witch because people will come after her. But you will have to start training her from now on how to be a luna.

"How will I train her when she has rejected Anthony," I told her.

"Don't worry, she will come back. She loves your son very much, and from what her parents told her about werewolves and the mate bond, she will return," the moon goddess replied. "She rejects Anthony to see if he will fight for her. She is a smart girl and she will make a great luna queen someday. Just don't give up on her. You're the one who has held this pack together and that is something Daniel has forgotten, but he will learn tonight what it's meant to be a true luna to your pack."

And with that, she was gone. I wonder what she meant by Anthony having to fight for.

Andrew (Cathy's father) pov

"Catherine, where are we going to find her?" I asked my wife.

"Baby, I have no idea," Catherine answered.

When we reached our house. "Cathy, Cathy," I called, but there was no answer.

"Cataleya, honey, where are you," Catherine called out.

While we were searching the house, Anthony came by.

"Have you found her?" he asked us.

" No, we don't know where she is. She is not in the house," I said to him.

"I didn't know my father would want me to reject her," Anthony replied. "When I first told him that I have found my mate and that it is her, he did not say anything about it then. Why now. It doesn't matter to me whether she is human or not. I love her, and I won't stop till I find her."

"But what about your father?" Catherine asked him.

"Don't worry about my father. I denounce my title and reject him as my father," he replied.

"No, you can't do that," Catherine squealed.

"I will not take the title of alpha if my father will not accept her," Anthony told us.

"Do you know of anywhere she would be," I asked him. I watched Anthony as he stood there thinking.

"OH my goddess, I know where she is," he said. and took off.

Anthony pov

I left the Jones house and ran straight for the clearing at the bank of the river. When I got there, I saw her sitting on the rock crying. My heart aches for her, and because I have not accepted the rejection, I still can feel all the emotions that she is feeling.

"Cathy," I called to her to let her know that I was there and I didn't want to scare her.

"What are you doing here?" she asked me.

"I came looking for you," I told her.

"Why?"

"Because I will not take the title of the alpha king if you are not by my side."

"Your father doesn't want me to be your mate, so why bother?" she asked.

"Because I love you," I answered her.

"What did you just say?"

"I love you," I repeated. "And I do not want to give up on us. Also, I want to apologize for my father's behavior towards you. There is something else."

"What is it?" Cathy asked me.

"I rejected my father," I told her.

"No, you can't do that," she answered.

"Well, unless he changes his mind about you, I will not accept the title or accept him back in my life," I told.

"Look, he is your father....."

"Yes, but you are my mate, and nothing will change that."

"But I rejected you," she said.

"Yes, but I did not accept your rejection," I answered. "So I, Anthony Black, reject your rejection. I will not accept your rejection.

Daniel pov

I can't believe I told my son to reject his fated mate. How am I going to make this right. I try to mind linking him, but nothing is going through it. It seems as if he has put up a block.

Two hours passed, and I tried linking Anthony again. This time, he answered, "Son, where are you, I want to talk to you and Cataleya."

"Why I have nothing to say to you, you are not my father anymore, remember."

"Please, I just want to apologize to both of you and also give Cathy a chance to be luna."

"Really, am I hearing properly, or is it because I reject you as my father?"

"Please, son, just give me a chance."

"OK, I am coming," the link ends.

Andrew pov

After ending the mind link with my father, I told Cathy that my father wanted to speak to both of us

"Why, I don't want to talk to him after the way he treats me," Cathy replied.

"Cathy, I don't want to talk to him either, but let's just go and hear him out," I said to her.

"I will go with you, but question do you really love me?" she asked.

"Yes, I do love. There is something I want to do before I go. I, Anthony Black, accept you, Cataleya Jones as my mate and future luna," I told her.

She starts crying again after I accept her as my mate and future luna. Then she said.

"I, Cataleya Jones, accept you Anthony Black as my mate and future alpha.

Sandra pov

it was almost three in the morning. When Andrew and Catherine came to the pack house and told us that Cathy still hadn't reached home. They don't know where she is the only thing they told me and Daniel is that Anthony stopped by and asked for her and then ran off saying he knows where she is, but has not heard from both of them.

Half an hour later, both Anthony and Cathy walked through the door.

"Where have both of you been?" I asked them.

"Mom, we were at the clearing, I was trying to calm her down before we get back. I did not want to bring her back upset about what dad said," Anthony replied.

Daniel pov

"Look, mom, I have to get Cathy home," Anthony told Sandra.

"Don't bother, we will take her home and thank you for finding and looking out for her," said Andrew.

"Andrew, I need to talk to Cathy and my son," I said. "Can you please just give us a few minutes?"

"OK," Andrew answered.

"Cathy, I want to apologize to you for the way that I have behaved against you. I told myself a long time ago that I would accept whomever my son's mate would be, but instead of accepting you, I treated you the same way. My father treated my mate. When he found out that she was a witch. I just want to say I am sorry," I said to Cathy.

"I will accept your apology, but I will not forgive you just yet. You just don't go around accusing someone without first finding out who that person is for yourself," Cathy replied. "I know you're the alpha also Anthony's father, but you have to trust your son to make the right decision for himself. Also, who are you to speak against your moon goddess who she mated together."

"You got me there," I said to her.

"I am tired, I need to go home," she told me.
