Chapter 9 Alpha And Luna Ceremony

Cathy pov

It is now two months before my graduation, and Alpha Daniel thought it was time for him to step down as alpha.

I think it is great that he wants to step down. but will Anthony take up the roll before I graduate. He said he wanted to wait until I graduated from school before taking up the title of alpha.

Daniel pov

I know my son said he will wait until his mate finishes school. But right now, I feel like I am stretched beyond my limit.

"Anthony, can you come to my office now please," I mind, link my son. I close the link without waiting for an answer.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door. "Come in," I replied.

"Son, I want you and Cathy to take over as soon as possible. I am tired. Therefore I am going to the ceremony this Saturday. So be prepared," I told him.

"Buy dad, this is two months before both of us stated when we would step up," Anthony replied.

"Son, I know, but I don't want to do this anymore. So please tell her. She can finish school, and your mother can stay in the position for the next two months. As for me, I am tired, son. I will get in touch with the alphas in our territory and advise them of the transition," I told him.

"OK, dad. I will let her know,"

With that said, he left my office.

Anthony pov

I know my father wanted to step down since I turned 18. But every since I met my mate. I had wanted to give her time to adjust to the fact that she is living among werewolves, and that is because she is human. Plus, I wanted to get to know her as well as her to know me. Know I do not know how I am going to tell her we have less than a week to prepare for the ceremony that was planned for two months from now.

I walked the short path to her house and knocked. It didn't take long for her to open the door.

"HI,"she said.

"HI."

"What are you doing here, I wasn't expecting you till later," she asked.

"We need to talk," I replied.

"About what," she answered.

"Can I come in and talk," I said to her.

She then stepped aside and let me pass her. We both went to the couch and sat down. I was really nervous right now because I didn't know how to tell her what my father said to me, but I just came out with it.

"Dad just told me that he will have the alpha and luna ceremony this Saturday," I told her.

"What?"

"My father said he is tired and needs to step down."

"But I still have two months of school left. how will I work that out?:

"My mother will hold the position for the two months you have left in school," I answered.

"Are you sure."

"Yes. This also means you will have to move your things to the packhouse," I said to her.

"I figured just as much, but where will I stay in the packhouse?" she asked.

"In my room. With me."

"Ohhkk, I did not see that one coming. I thought I would stay in a separate room until the ceremony."

"Well, under other circumstances, yes. But like how the ceremony is this weekend. It is best to just move into our room one time and get it over with," I told her.

Day of the ceremony.

Cathy pov

I woke up this morning and been very nervous. Ever since I moved into the packhouse with Anthony. It is the best sleep has gotten all week, but this morning I am very nervous because our ceremony will be later today. And a lot of guests are coming. I know the pack has accepted me being human and becoming their luna. But what will the other alphas think. Will they accept me or reject me.

Is time for the ceremony. I am dressed in a baby blue sweet heart neckline gown with diamond jewelry scattered all around the dress. While Anthony is also in a baby blue suit that makes him look really sexy.

We both went on stage where his father was. His father begins the ritual.

"Do you, Anthony James Black, swear to protect the pack with all that you have. Do swear to keep the peace and alliances. Do you swear protect your luna with all you have," Daniel asked.

"I swear," Anthony answered.

His father then take the dagger and both their hands and join their hands together.

"Blue Lagoon Pack, your new alpha king," said his father.

There were a lot of cheers and shout and whistles. Anthony then raised his hand, and the pack went quiet. Then he said, "Now I will introduce our new luna queen."

Anthony then turned to me and asked me the same questions his father asked, and I answered the same. "I swear." He then cut my hand, and we both put our hands together. Strangely, I felt this rush of power went through me.

He then turned to the pack and said,"Blue Lagoon, welcome your new luna." The crowd erupts with joy. He put up his hand again, and the pack went quiet.

"I have one more thing to do," he said.

The next I know is Anthony getting down on one knee and saying to me, "Cathy, we both have our struggles, but we both made it thus far. Although you are human, you have proven to be the best luna this pack will ever have before you even get the title. All I am asking you now is to be my wife. Marry me, Cathy Jones."

I was so surprised that it took me a few minutes to realize what was going on.

"Cathy," he called to me to get me out of my trance.

"Yes, yes, I will marry you,"I answered.

He then hugged me and kissed me gently but passionately. There were also cheers and clapping from the pack. So this has become an engagement party.

We both then dance to the song by after 7.

When the song ended, everyone hit the dance floor and was having a good time. There was lots of food and drinks. We were having such a good time that we did not realize that it was almost 4 in the morning. We then retired to our room. It is also Sunday morning. I don't have school until tomorrow.

What a wonderful day and night that was

I can't believe I am actually now the luna of Blue Lagoon Pack and that they all have accepted me.
