Chapter 5

Later that evening, the sun slowly disappeared behind the tall buildings of the city, leaving the sky painted in shades of orange and purple.

Kaden’s car drove quietly through a private road surrounded by tall trees and elegant streetlights. Cassie sat beside him, looking out the window in silence. Her mind was still full of the painful events from earlier that day.

The humiliation.

The insults.

The way Kaden’s parents had looked at her as if she was nothing.

Her chest tightened at the memory.

Finally, the car slowed down and stopped in front of a large mansion.

Cassie blinked in surprise.

The building in front of her was beautiful. It wasn’t as enormous as the Williams family mansion, but it was still luxurious and elegant. The walls were white and clean, and the large glass windows reflected the soft evening lights.

A beautiful garden surrounded the house, filled with flowers and tall palm trees.

Cassie slowly stepped out of the car and looked around in amazement.

“Kaden…” she whispered.

But Kaden had already walked ahead toward the entrance.

“Cassie, come on. Let’s go inside,” he said.

Cassie walked toward him, still staring at the house.

“Where is this place?” she asked curiously.

Kaden smiled.

“This is my private mansion.”

Cassie’s eyes widened.

“You mean… this place belongs to you?”

Kaden nodded.

“Yes. My father bought it for me two years ago, but I rarely stayed here because I was living with my parents.”

He looked at her gently.

So i bought this place for us. he paused looking at her face

You can’t come see me at the mansion anymore since my parents didn’t accept you so this is where we’ll stay. I want you to start staying with me so i won’t be lonely he said quickly.

I’m not going back to that place anymore till they accept you as my girlfriend.

Cassie stared at him in shock.

But why kaden.she asked

Because I love you and I will do anything to make you happy he said

Cassie smiled

But Cassie’s happiness quickly faded as another thought crossed her mind.

“Kaden… what about my parents?” she asked quietly.

Kaden frowned slightly.

“What about them?”

“My mother just lost her job today,” Cassie said painfully. “And I’m sure she doesn’t even know yet.”

Her voice trembled slightly.

“That job was the only thing supporting my parents.”

Kaden gently touched her shoulder.

“Don’t worry about that.”

Cassie looked at him.

“I’ll make sure she still receives her salary every month,” Kaden said calmly. “Just tell her to relax at home and enjoy her life.”

Cassie immediately shook her head.

No.

Kaden blinked in surprise.

“No?he repeated.

“My mother will never accept that,” Cassie said firmly. “We may be poor, but we don’t depend on other people’s money. We work for what we earn.”

Her voice sounded strong and proud.

Kaden looked at her for a moment before smiling at her.

Okay, Kaden continued. “If she won’t accept free money, then I’ll give her a job here.”

Cassie looked back at him.

“You mean… work here?”

“Yes,” Kaden replied simply. “She can work here in the mansion. It’s not a problem.

He shrugged casually.

Thank you so much Cassie said hugging him.

“As long as you stay with me, everything else will be fine.”

Cassie sighed softly.

Your parents, Kaden…she murmured.

Kaden rolled his eyes.

“Leave them to me.

He crossed his arms confidently.

“They will eventually dance to my tune.”

Cassie couldn’t help laughing a little.

“You sound very confident.”

Because I know my them Kaden said proudly.

Just then, Cassie’s phone suddenly rang.

She took it out of her bag and looked at the screen.

Selene,she said quietly.

She hadn’t spoken to Selene since the shocking announcement at the banquet.

Cassie answered the call.

Hello?

Hey, Cassandra, Selene’s voice said from the other side.

Cassie forced a small smile.

Selene… how are you?

I should be asking you that, Selene replied.

Cassie sighed.

I’m… fine.

Selene paused before speaking again.

“Cassie… I’m really sorry about what happened last night.”

Cassie stayed silent.

I had no idea my father and Kaden’s parents were planning something like that,Selene continued.

Her voice sounded sincere.

And I have absolutely no interest in Kaden.

Cassie raised an eyebrow.

Selene laughed softly.

Selene chuckled.

“Well, now that both of us are refusing our parents’ plans, I’m sure they will eventually have no choice but to let us choose who we want.

Cassie nodded even though Selene couldn’t see her.

Selene laughed again.

“Anyway, I’ll talk to you later, Cassie.

Okay,Cassie said. Bye.

She ended the call.

Kaden immediately looked at her curiously.

What did she say??

Cassie smiled.

She rejected the marriage proposal.

Kaden smirked.

Didn’t I tell you?

Cassie laughed.

“So now it’s only my parents left,” Kaden said confidently.

He walked closer to Cassie and wrapped his arms around her waist.

“And I know they will eventually have no choice but to let me marry you.”

Cassie looked up at him.

You sound very sure.

“Because I am,” Kaden replied.

After a moment of silence, he suddenly said something unexpected.

“I want to meet your parents.”

Cassie blinked.

You already know them.

Yes,Kaden said. “But I want to meet them properly.”

He smiled warmly.

I want to introduce myself to your father and tell him that I’m the man who will take care of his daughter for the rest of her life.”

Cassie’s cheeks turned red.

“What? Are you shy now he teased.

She laughed shyly.

We’re still young she said again.

It doesn’t matter Kaden said tickling her Making her laugh loudly.

Then he whispered to her….I didn’t get to eat you up yesterday like i promised but now I really want to, i missed you badly He said pulling her closer fondling with her breast.

No Kaden we’re not doing this now

Cassie said slapping his hands away from her boobs playfully.

Says who?? Kaden said carrying her up at once taking her to the bedroom.

Let me go you Man w***e Cassie said laughing and hitting him playfully at his back.
