What do you mean you want to see Kaden?” Alice said, staring at her shockingly, her brows furrowed deeply as confusion and worry flashed across her face.

He has to know what his parent did to me and my parent, they ruined me,they ruined my family and I’m very sure Kaden do not know about it yet. she replied, trying to stand properly, but her legs were too weak to stand. Her body trembled slightly, and she quickly held onto the edge of the bed for support, breathing heavily.

Matteo rushed closer instinctively, ready to catch her if she fell.

Hey, I understand how you feel rn Cassie, but Kaden is the last person you will want to see right now. I mean it he’s the last person you will wanna see. Firstly, your face is badly damaged, he will hardly recognize you when you show up, and do you think he will believe that his parent did this to you? No. He will never believe you over his parents Matteo paused, his voice soft but firm.

“And secondly…” Alice said. She took a deep breath before breaking the news to her. “Kaden is getting married tomorrow, and his bride is… Selene Hughes.

Cassie felt her head spinning, like the world had suddenly tilted beneath her feet.

“Is this the newest joke in town?” She shook her head and faced Alice, almost in tears. “What did you just say?”

Alice sighed and sat on the bed facing Cassie, her expression stern but still soft at the same time.

“You have to accept the truth, Cassandra. Kaden left you. He got Selene impregnated when you left, now they are getting married already… and look at you… your face is damaged already, so do you think he will like this?” She said, looking at her with pity face.

Cassie tried crying, but no tears came out. It was as if her pain had gone beyond tears. Instead, she let out a cold, hollow laugh that echoed faintly in the room.

I will like to see things myself tomorrow. I wanna attend the wedding… even if I have to hide… prepare me for paying them a visit. she said, looking at Alice, her voice filled with finality and quiet determination.

Alice sighed, surrendering to her request.

Alright. Matteo will go with you, but you’re not allowed to come in contact with any of them. To them, you’re dead. Her tone turned colder. “Jordan Williams and his wife Emily have done a lot of atrocities in this life, they have spoil many People’s life. it’s time for him to reap all he sow. and I promise you he won’t go scot free.

Cassie’s eyes narrowed slightly.

How did you know me and the Williams family? Cassie asked, suspicion flickering in her voice.

Don’t worry about that. You will get to know later, Alice replied calmly.

“You will get a surgery for your face,” she finally said.

Cassie’s heart beamed at those words. She truly needed it. Her face was badly damaged, a painful reminder of everything she had lost. Even tho she did not know the reason why Alice is helping her,but so far as it will bring justice to the death of her parent, She going to do anything they ask her to do.

She will never forgive the Williams family for what they did to her and her family… she will make sure they all rot in hell, she thought, gnashing her teeth in anger.

When Alice saw how angry her face looked, she smiled slightly, as if satisfied by the fire burning inside her.

And there’s one more thing you need to know, Alice said, looking at Matteo who nodded at her to go on.

The wedding between Kaden and Selene is happening today…

The hall where the wedding is going to take place is already filled with hundreds of seats for the influential people that will be coming. Everything screamed money and class. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, casting golden light across the polished floors, while soft music played in the background.

Selene was in one of the rooms, make-up artists working on her face. She looked so happy. At last, she was getting married to her dream man the man she had always loved ever since they were teenagers.

And it’s all thanks to this… she rubbed her small protruding stomach, smiling down softly and muttering, thank you, baby…

Mrs. Williams was walking up and down the hall, giving instructions to the people setting up the place. She looked so happy too, as if she’s the one getting married today. Pride and excitement radiated from her every step.

Soon, the wedding started, and the priest began the officiating of the marriage. The guests fell silent, all eyes fixed on the couple standing at the altar.

Will you, Selene Elizabeth Hughes, take Kaden Jeremy Williams as your wedded husband? the priest asked.

She smiled, looking at Kaden’s face even though he’s frowning.

Yes, I do, she said without hesitation.

The priest turned to Kaden, muttering the same words.

Will you, Kaden Jeremy Williams, take Selene Elizabeth Hughes as your wedded wife?

Kaden pursed his mouth, his jaw tightening slightly as he looked around the hall. Hundreds of eyes stared at him, waiting for his response. The pressure in the room was suffocating.

He was about to turn and answer the priest when he saw a figure at the upstairs of the hall staring at him.

A female figure.

Even though the person wore a face cap and a face mask was used to cover most of her face, the side view of the person’s face looked like someone he always knew… someone he could never forget.

His heart skipped.

He was shocked.

A strange, familiar feeling gripped his chest as memories flashed through his mind.

He tried moving from where he was, his eyes locked on the figure. And when the person saw him staring at her, already caught… she moved and walked away quickly.

Kaden’s breath hitched.

Kaden…Selene called softly, confused by his sudden reaction.

But he didn’t hear her.

Instead, he shouted, his voice echoing across the hall.
