Freddy POV

To say it's been an unbelievable day would be a massive understatement, I'm more happy than I thought I would be today.

I had reservations about the Royals thinking about them coming here, I know that they are connected to the girls, and I find it very difficult to deal with that. But I'm surprised actually how different they are to what what I actually thought they would be.

I thought they would automatically start asking for the girls, but they haven't they helped Maddy and then helped our clan without question.

They have helped more than they know today, especially with the way I think about them.

I thought today would be a hard gruelling day trying to rebuild homes for our people, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about the sleeping arrangements, especially for the kids.

I know we are a strong clan, strong supernatural beings but they have been through something no-one should experience, they lived that life for so many years and I hated the fact we were asking them to help build. They all need time, sleep, food/blood, and health on their side to move forward, so I'm so thankful for the magic Royals. They have shown us kindness when I didn't even show them that decency at first meeting them. I know I was being unfair about how they were with the girls, but I was scared of losing them. I've been their constant, their person, and I hated the thought of not being there if they needed me.

Since we have returned home and we haven't had to hide who we are, they have flourished. They have more power than I ever thought, and I can see why Melvin and Gill want to care for them, to teach them.

I've watched how they are with the girls, and they look at them with nothing but love, a look a parent gives their child. A look I saw for years in my mothers eyes and how I watched Cara look at her girls.

I now understand that my big brother job was to keep them safe from all harm so that one day they would be with loving parents, and that is who Melvin and Gill are. They are here to guide and love Layla and Lilley as their own, and that is what the girls deserve.

I do need to speak with Melvin and Gill about the whole situation and come up with a solution that is good for all of us and I also want to have a sit down with Lilley and Layla to get their views on it also because I'd never make a decision for them regarding where they live, I want them to be happy and that's the most important thing.

"We are all done Freddy" Melvin smiled walking upto me "Thanks again for all your help, we all appreciate it" and I mean every word, he nodded his head ok as we both look around at the impressive buildings.

They are even better than I imagined, and the clans' main house was massive and way better than if we had built it. I can see us all living happily here, having a life we all deserve, and the best thing about everything now is that there is not one reminder of Achlys or his goons.

There is still so much to work through mentally and physically but it will make that progress much easier without any input from those dead dickheads.

"It finally feels like we are free" I smile looking at everyones smiling faces. This is how it should have always been.

I know we now need to help our people gather strength and to do that quicker for the vampires in our clan would be to have blood it is part of our beings and even though they can survive on food, blood would always benefit them better.

Kylie did say that Achlys had got lots of blood stashed away with the riches, and I plan to go check it out soon. I would never give out blood procured in any forced way, and I will be able to tell once I've looked because sold blood will have the sanctuary mark on it.

That will be first on the list after Kylie returns home.

"Is there nothing else to do?" I ask, but he shakes his head. "The clinic has just been finished, and that is everything complete. Do you want to go check it out?" Melvin asks, and of course I do. we have never had a clinic at all, so that's something we desperately need.

"Dr Rodgers," I shouted him, and I'm releived he's still with us he is well over 1000 years old, but time hasn't been kind to him. His sons are helping him take care of our people, and I'm so happy they have taken pride in learning medicine.

"Yes, my king," he asks as all 3 make their way towards us. "We have something to show you and your sons." I smiled at them as they gave small smiles back.

"Lead the way, my king," he replied, and we led the way just slower, I could see he was struggling, but he would never admit it.

They don't know about the new clinic because they have been caring for the people too ill and weak.

We make our way past the main house and make our way through the wooded area within a few minutes, we break through to the other side, and it was magnificent. All 3 men are confused. "Shall we," Melvin asks, walking through the doors. We walk into a waiting room, filled with chairs, and to the left is a big circular white desk. "Welcome to our clinic, a proper place to see and heal the ill and injured," I explain to Dr. Rodgers. Looking at the mens eyes, light up made my day. "We need to go get medical supplies now it's finished," I say, looking around "well actually my people came together and sorted that out. They could see your people needed it sooner, " Melvin explained, opening one of the doors.

"Wow," was all any of us could say, looking at the room fitted out with a hospital bed, monitors, and different medical supplies.

"This is great. Thank you so much, " I say, giving Melvin a handshake."We want to help as much as possible" was his only reply.

All 6 rooms were the same, and each room had a privacy curtain and also a small bathroom attached. There are also 2 operating rooms and it is more than we ever expected.

"We have never had anything like this before and if I'm honest we are not even sure what the machines do" Dr Rodgers son Carl said sadly but I have full faith in them "if you would allow them, Trudy and Callie are both well adversed in medicine, they are great nurses and help out if we are in need for them. They know how to use all the monitors and supplies. " Melvin smiled as the mens eyes lit up. "That would be great Thankyou King Melvin," Dr Rodgers said with so much happiness it oozed from him.

Melvins eyes glazed over. "They are on the way," he smiled.

A few minutes later 2 women came through the door "my king" they said as one, bowing slightly at Melvin "could you possibly show Dr Rodgers and his sons how to use the medical equipment" he asked as both women smiled "of course my king" this is great "do we have anyone that needs medical attention, it would be easier to show you that way" One of the women explained "yes Lotty is in need of any help we can give her" Dr Rodgers nods at one of his sons who blurs away before blurring back with the young girl in his arms, her family behind him. "Thankyou Lenny please pop her on the bed," he thanked his son.

'We are home my love where are you' Kylie linked me sounding so happy and looking at Melvin his mate had also linked him "please excuse us, please keep me updated" I said as we made our way out the clinic.

I'm excited about seeing Kylie. I've missed her.

We break through the trees, and there she is stood looking for me. How did I ever get so lucky.

She ran throwing herself at me kissing me like I'd not seen her for months, not that I mind at all I want to be buried deep inside her right now but the cough from beside us got our attention.

We part as Kylie laughs. "We have had a great time at the market and guess who I saw there.. Zoene and Francis.. we got everything ordered, and guess what.. we got lots of sweet treats. Oooh and guess what.. Zoene will be bringing our deliveries of curtains and bedding and cushions.. an-" I cut her off with a quick peck on the lips because she gave me no time to talk at all "so it's definitely been a great day" I chuckled and she was now laughing, the best sound in the world, "yes it has" she replied but was now looking around "what are you looking for?" I asked looking around also "where are Lilley and Layla, we got them some treats too" she is amazing "they are still sleeping" I say but her happy face turns into a worried one.

"Still asleep, I need to go check on them what if somethings wrong" she said panicked "they are fine Pete is sat watching over them" Melvin explains and she goes happy again.

Today has been the most tiring but amazing day we have had, but we are all ready to move forward and start fresh.
