Shads Of Fae Rise of the Dragon

Chapter 2

Dante POV

    As I stare at the scene, I can't register how something like this could have happened. Bodies, that's all I saw. Bodies, and well body parts strewed across acres and acres of my home. Human and fae alike. The human bodies are tore apart, but its the fae I am baffled by. Arrows, simple looking arrows are what killed them. Something is not right about this picture.

How can a simple weapon bring down the fae, dragon, lycan, vampire, you name it they are here and all killed by the same simple arrow. We all have different weaknesses but these are all the same weapon. I start to walk through the bodies when I stop dead in my tracks and fall to my knees. In front of me lay my family. My parents, siblings, Zilly and grandparents, and even Selene.

    Have I been gone so long, what happened. I start to weep, there is no one around to see me weak and I do not care anyways. Everyone I love is here lying dead right in front of me, and I was powerless to stop it. My ears perk up at a whistling sound, I look up only to see the arrow hit me right in the chest.

    "Yea or maybe the man wanted to rape your ass pretty boy," and that was all it took for the whole plane to come to life with laughter. I turn to Max and light his ass up, "Na Maxie pad has tried many times. No 2x4 is gana make it any easier for anyone to rape my ass." "Really TeTe, still with the maxipad? I would have thought you would have grown up by now." He says with

Looking at his watch he looks back at me "well I'd say about 12 hours sleeping beauty." That was a pretty

good one, I'll let him have that one.

We crack on each other for the next while, next thing we know we have the whole plane cracking up with us.

It made the ride go so much faster cause next thing I know we are descending and they tell us to fasten up.

Finally my feet are on solid ground and I am walking to my truck with my bag in hand and Max beside me. Yea I give him a lift back to his place before I go to mine. I live off base, I get an allowance for rent, but I

need my own privacy and besides its not like I need their money. I bought this place out right cause it is

a small cabin on a very secluded cost line that I can let Storm out once and awhile.

"Your place tonight man?" Max ask before he hops out of my truck. "Of course it's my last night

before I head home." He heads to his barrack while flipping me the bird before he acts sorry and gives me a

thumbs up. I'll get his ass back tonight at the bonfire.

    About 15 mins of driving the winding, ocean scenic road, I reach my destination. Pulling into the entrance of my driveway which is surrounded by lush green forest. This time of year is when I love this land the most. The summer air blowing through my open window, and the sound of the distant ocean hitting the shore line. Oh how I have missed my peaceful human home. I think out of the many homes I have bought since I joined the Marines, I will actually keep this one.

Taking it slow, enjoying the fresh ocean and forest breeze. About a mile in I come to a clearing and drive along the edge of the cliff with the ocean crashing against the stones below. Looking out at the endless water, my dragon gets anxious to come out. Storm has not been out in many moons, and he is ready to stretch his wings as am I. 

I choose this property for the simple fact I have privacy and I can shift here. If the skies not clear we are always able to stretch our wings below the water. With having the gift of all of the elements I have ,any many abilities that I have learned to harness and master. 

    With the other mile gone I pull up to a nice homey cabin that I had built here. Its not big but it is everything that I need. It is just a single story perched atop a small hill to get the max of this magnificent view. A large wrap around porch and floor to ceiling windows on the front of the house, with a massive door I had hand crafted. The door is solid cedar with a dragon carved into it, more specifically my dragon. 

    Pulling into my parking space right beside a small red car, knowing who it is I get out and make my way to the door. Reaching for the door my hand never makes contact with the warm metal of the handle. Hand mid air my eyes make their way from the floor up. Bare tiny feet to sexy tan legs.
