The Second Chance

Sasha woke up astonished by a handsome man lovingly watching her and caressing every part of her, and a smile carved on her lips with the wonderful sight that greeted her. "How long have you been watching me sleep?" "Long enough to carve your beautiful face in my mind" She smiled even brighter ,she leaned closer to him, asking for a kiss. Nick smiled as he realized her intensions, and for only a second he landed his lips on hers. Their lips and tongue moved in sync, it didn't take so much time before they both heat up and their kiss became more passionate. He grew hungrier for her mouth, and for her as a whole. His hands started to travel, from cupping her face, sliding down to her arms, going to her chest. Sasha on the other hand, feeling the intensity of the moment, pulled his hair, and slid down to his mascular back, caressing him. It took them a while before they separated from each other. They were both breathless. "Marry me Nick" is what slipped from her mouth after their intimate exchange. He was taken aback with the sudden proposal from his beloved. "Take me back and marry me" Nick was speechless, he loves her so much, but things are more complicated that it seems, he is in a relationship with someone else, and although his heart belongs to Sasha, he cares so much for the other girl, enough not to break her heart. She saw the sudden change on his face, and there's a jolt that struck her heart, because she knew very well the reason why. "How long are we gonna be like this Nick?" She said as she stood up, and picked her clothes from the floor and dress herself. "Why do I feel like a little slut of a mistress? You know, I am not that kind of person, I am not that kind of a woman Nick! You were mine first, we love each other so much, don't we?" she continued as she felt her heart was about to explode, she felt betrayed by her own feelings, by her love for the man in front of her. "Yes, we do...I love you so much Sasha Gray, and you know that!" he looked straight to her eyes with a hint of guilt. He closed his eyes and laid on his back, and tears come rushing down. "So choose me! Choose me Nick!" she burst out. He sighed. "Can you promise me that If I do so, you will never hurt me again?" She was stunned and pained, she didn't expect him to say those words, she knew for herself that it is impossible, it may not be for the same reason but one way or another, they will be hurting each other, not because they want to but because it's life, that's how it is, and she can't promise something as impossible as that. "I can't Nick, we are not children anymore, and you know that it is not possible. No matter how much we try not to, we will be hurting each other for some reason, so might as well let's be realistic about it, and not promise anything as impossible as that..." she gulped "I understand you Nick, but there can only be one woman for you, it's either me or her, not two. If you choose Dianne, then you should be with only her. If you choose me, then, it should just be me in your life. I know I don't have the right to do this, for it was all my fault anyway, but I had to, because we both want this, and if we don't stop now, we will just be hurting her. I love you with all my heart but I am also a woman and I can't do this anymore." Nick stood quietly, still crying his heart out, and he seems like having a difficult time to put his emotions into words, he knew she's right, and he was too embarrassed to even dare look at her in the eye. Sash felt worse seeing his reaction, she loved him too much to even blame him for everything. It was her fault anyway, she broke up with him for her own selfish reasons, because she couldn't handle everything at once, all the opportunities coming her way, her extra curriculars, being a graduating student and her relationship with Nick. She knew she needed to give up one, and it was him, thinking he would understand and that his love is bigger than her own, so he will wait. She took him for granted, until when she thought things are getting better and that she is ready to take him back into her arms again, she found out that he already has a new girlfriend. The news crushes her world, she couldn't believe he would actually find a replacement for her that quick, after all the begging he did for her to come back. She tried to avoid him, forget him and move on, but the they always find themselves seeing each other more often. Until, Nick earned his guts to talk to her, and confessed that he's indeed still in love with her, he learned how to care for the other girl, but his heart always belongs to Sasha. Being still in love with him didn't really help her resisting the temptation of seeing him again. Sasha was so drown to him, every moment they shared together was her haven, she never wanted it to end again, but then she is also a very sensible and kind woman. She knew, at some point they needed to end it, and only now she found the courage to do so. "I guess you have made your decision..." she wiped her tears and tried to appear strong and brave in front of him, "well I expected this anyway, I knew you wouldn't choose me, I know you enough to know you and your heart, you wouldn't dare hurt the other girl" " Sash, I..." She spoke before he finish his sentence, wiping off his tears "This is for the best Nick, and it's true that I understand why. Maybe our second chance for love is not with each other...our happy ending is not meant for us to be together..." as she tries to convince not only him but herself as well "Promise me, you will be happy. Promise me..." Sasha said with tears falling from her eyes again and her heart crushes. "Sash, I'm so sorry, I love you so much, but...I swear, I never wanted to hurt you, and see you like this" his eyes are becoming blurry and hot and again. "Don't worry about me, it was my fault anyway, I don't blame you for how we end up like this, it was me, I know.... I just want you to be happy, and I will be happy too" as she tries to look strong, but the truth is, she's dying inside, she means everything she said, but nonetheless it breaks her knowing after this, she will lose the love of her life forever. "I will always love you Nick, I will try to live a good life and be happy some time in the future, I want you to do the same. Be happy, and make her happy like how you made me. Love her, like how you loved me...no...love her even more." " Sash..." " I will be okay Nick...maybe not now...but soon...I will, I promise" Then she turned and without looking back, she left him once again.
