SHE USHERED THEM BOTH in to the living room and went to make coffee for Gerard, who looked dead on his feet. When she returned, they were leaning over the coffee table with a map of the area surrounding the town between them. They were discussing how they might lure their tormentors in to some sort of trap when she sat the steaming cups down in front of them. Though both of them were in their human forms, it was clear to her that they were as dangerous in that moment as when they were covered in scales and breathing fire.
