"It's the day we have been waiting for!" Bobby exclaimed excitedly and Yena nods along with a big smile on her face.
It's the day that they're finally moving out the orphanage. It was a tough talking to the nannies about it since they don’t want to let the both of them go.
"I'm excited!” Yena clapped her hand with excitement and Bobby clapped along. The loud annoying clap.
"Me too! Imagine living our life to the fullest outside of this place!" He held Yena’s shoulder and shook it and Yena just let him.
"May I just remind the two of you too please don't do anything harsh or stupid while you're out"
their Nanny suddenly joined their conversation. There was a pause before she continued.
"I will surely miss you two." she said holding back her tears.
“You grew up here, I can't imagine this place without the two of you.”
"Oh, nanny don't cry we will make sure to visit you!" Bobby enveloped her in hug and Yena joined in.
"Don't worry nanny me and Zion will keep our eyes on Bobby"
"Zion?" The nanny asked and pulled out of the hug.
Yena only nods and smiles.
The nanny looked at Bobby with questioning eyes.
“You don’t remember Zion? He’s Yena’s Little friend.” Bobby answered with a cheeky tone.
"Oh yeah that kid Zion"
The nanny let out a short laugh
" Yes, please do look out for Bobby make sure to keep him out of trouble Yena"
There was a short silence that was shared between them a comfortable and a sad one at the same time.
"Oh, nanny I will miss you" Yena said while holding back her tears just like her nanny.
"Cry cry cry!" Bobby teased and cheered to lighten up the mood and Yena just smacked his arms for the fourth time today
"Bobby, come I have something to say to you" Bobby looked at the nanny and she signaled him to go outside with her.
"What is it nana?"
The woman let out a sigh and worry were evident in her face.
"Bobby" there was a short pause before she continued.
"Look after Yena ok? You know her situation, right? She can't run around telling people about this friend of her. Don’t worry the orphanage is so close to afford to send her to a psychiatrist.
Bobby pursed his lips in a thin line and nods.
“I’ll help with the expense's nana. I’ll work when we get there.” The nanny stroked Bobby’s hair.
"Keep him close to you as much as possible ok? Don’t overwork yourself and focus on your studies ok? And don't be troublesome." the last words made them both laughs.
"Zion, aren't you excited?" yena asked her other best friend while happily humming to a song.
"Are you sure about this Yena?"
Zion Questioned. His eyes trained outside looking at the scenery where the train they are riding passes by.
"What do you mean about that?” Yena shifts her body facing Zion.
"About moving out."
Yena laughs lightly at Zion. She wonders what his younger friend is so worried about.
"I am sure Zion. What are you so worried about? We're grown-ups now we can handle ourselves alone." She patted her friends back.
"Im just worried"
"About?"
"You. Your safety."
Yena sighs as he puts her feet down that was once crossed.
"Zion I'm fine. I'm fine and safe with you and Bobby. Don't worry about okay?" Yena held June's hand to assure him.
"Quit talking' let's get mooovin' baby~"
Bobby suddenly out of nowhere appeared singing.
“Where were you?”
“Went to the bathroom.” Bobby answered shortly with a shrug.
“They have bathrooms inside the train? Nice!” Yena said genuinely amused.
After a 3-hour long travel from the orphanage at the country side to the City, they arrived at their apartment.
It was simple and decent. Just enough for two people with a nice overlooking view of the city. As soon as Bobby saw this apartment online, he was sure that this is the one considering it is a decent place, affordable price for students like them and it's near to the new university they will enroll in. It was a catch.
"Ugh! Bobby we should've booked a flight! If we took the plane it will only take us 1 hour to arrive here! But your cheap ass really used KTX! It's a 3-hour long drive! I'm so exhausted! We still have to clean this place up and set up our things!”
Yena nagged at Bobby but the younger boy ignored him.
"Wow this place is so different compared to where we came from."
Bobby gushed out while looking at the window that shows the city.
"This is what you call a concrete Jungle." Yena rolled his eyes at his friends ridiculous and nonsense comments.
"I think that is New York Bobby."
"Whatever Party pooper. You need some help there?"
Bobby turned to Yena who was dusting a side of the apartment where they can put their bags and things down.
"What do you think smartass? Of course, I need help! I'm so tired! This is all your fault! Get the mop and start cleaning the floor!” Yena glared at him.
Bobby waved her off shushing him.
"Okay! Stop nagging. Why'd you always shout?”
“Because you make me angry. Now shut up and clean.”
“Those two things you want me to do, Sorry to disappoint, but I can't do either of those.” Bobby grinned at his annoyed friend
“Bobby please just this once stop being annoying.”
Bobby laughed seeing his friends face
“Okay just because you asked so nicely.”
The day went by with them cleaning the whole place and now it was time to decided which room they will get.
“Let’s play rock paper and scissors.” Bobby suggested.
“What are you? a child?” Yena asked and Bobby shrugged.
“We would always solve our fights and misunderstanding thru this ever since. Are you questioning its validity now?” Bobby wiggled his eyebrow.
“Come on! Let's just do it once. Whoever wins gets to choose their room first.
Yena resigned and held her fist up.
“Just one time. Whoever wins on the first round is the winner. No second chances and rematch. Is that clear and fair?”
Yena made sure and Bobby Nodded mouthing “yep” multiple times.
Bobby collapsed dramatically on the floor looking at his fist while Yena stood with a proud smile on her face.
“Traitor.” Bobby said to his closed fist.
“I usually don’t have luck with this game but the heavens sure is at my side today.”
Yena said proudly looking at her friend lying betrayed on the floor.
Zion on the other side was smiling at Yena’s small victory.
Yena went to grab her bags on the floor and hopped to her room leaving his friend Bobby sprawled looking into nothing. She shakes her head on how dramatic her friend is.
The room had a small window which made her fight Bobby for it. This is perfect since she wanted to plant flowers and herbs. She even has seeds that she harvested at the orphanages garden.
