As James hurried towards Evan, his eyes widened in shock at the sight of the deep cut on his friend's torso. "Bro, what happened to you?" he asked, his voice laced with concern. Evan's expression remained stoic, his face void of emotion as he nonchalantly tapped away on his phone. "Wrap me up, I have somewhere to be," he said, his tone devoid of urgency.
James sighed, his knees bending to help with the wound. "You need to go to the hospital, you need stitches," he insisted, but Evan's stubbornness was well-known. "Always so stubborn, won't listen to anyone for once," James mumbled under his breath as he wrapped up the wound to stop the bleeding.
As James finished up, Evan stood, his movements fluid and controlled. "I'm leaving," he said, his eyes scanning the room before settling on James. "I heard that Throfs gangs are causing trouble in the east coast territory, what do you plan to do?" James asked, his voice tinged with curiosity.
"I'll take care of it myself, focus on the investigation," Evan replied, his tone firm before he shut the door behind him.
Meanwhile, I sat on my couch, snacking on popcorn as she watched a movie. The door creaked open, and Evan's tall frame emerged, his aura dropping the room temperature as he walked towards her. My mouth felt dry as I stared at him, my senses on high alert.
"What are you doing here, how did you open my door?" I asked, trying to sound calm despite the flutter in my chest. Evan's gaze never wavered, his eyes seeming to bore into my very soul.
"I have a key card," he replied, his deep voice sending a thrill through me . "I can come in here when I like." He settled onto the couch beside me, his thigh brushing against mine , sending a spark of electricity through my body.
As we watched the movie, the tension in the room grew thicker, until it felt like a living, breathing thing. When the on-screen couple's kisses grew more passionate, I felt my face heat up, and Evan's gaze drifted to me, his eyes burning with an inner fire.
"Maybe we should watch another movie," I suggested, trying to deflect the intensity of his gaze. But Evan's response was a low, commanding "No." His eyes never left hers, his gaze holding me captive like a predator sensing its prey.
Without warning, Evan leaned in, his lips meeting mine in a fiery kiss. I felt my heart skip a beat as his arms wrapped around me, pulling me closer. The world around melted away, leaving only the two of us, lost in the moment.
As we broke apart for air, Evan's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze intense and all-consuming. For a moment, we just stared at each other, the only sound the beating of our hearts.
And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, Evan pulled back, his expression unreadable. "I'll be leaving now," he said, his voice low and husky. "You have classes tomorrow, go and get some rest." He grabbed his keys off the table, but before he could take another step, he slumped to the floor, unconscious.
"Evan!" I screamed, my blood running cold as I rushed to his side.
