I wasn't planning on saying that.The words just slipped out of my mouth like it was something natural but my wolf was annoyed that I did that.
"What in the world just happened?"
Claude looks at me like I have grown two horns on my head.Claude is my best friend but he isn't my beta at all.He is actually the third in our pack hierarchy (gamma).He is the definition of a playboy from a highschool drama script.Blonde hair, sculpted like a greek god and blah blah!He is also an annoying pain.
"Nothing happened,"I purse my lips.
"Nothing happened? "he shakes his head and gives me that smile that I hate ,"You straight up went to that petite girl and put that slime ball in his place and you say that nothing happened."
Claude hates Noah like he gets paid for it.On the other hand,I never cared for him but now I do and that's because he touched what belongs to me.The moment he laid his hands on her,all bets were off.If it was legal,I would have killed him on the spot but I have to abide by human laws.
I hate this feeling!
I was supposed to leave her alone and ignore her but my wolf couldn't let that happen.Once a wolf find his mate ,the connection grows at an exponential rate and it's extremely difficult to just forget about it.I didn't expect my own mate-bond to be this complicated.It is like a force that drags you to that person and you can't escape it.
Her face and her voice literally turned my c**k rock hard.The way her skin felt against my skin when I touched her hands and helped her on her two feet.I wanted to hold her and tell her that she is beautiful just like her name but the words that came from my mouth were just-
"Did you really just defend that girl from that disgusting slime called Noah ," Claude asks me again.
"Claude ,"I frown at him ,"Please get off my back and go do something like sleep."
"No,"he pouts ,"You said we could eat and I'm still hungry.How the hell am I supposed to calm down after that drama just happened?I mean you should have seen the look on her friend's face.She was practically fuming. Is she your ex ?"
I have no idea who he is talking about. The only girl that I have ever noticed at this campus is Sunny.My wolf keeps telling me to claim her before that slimy douchebag even puts his hands on her.From what I have gathered in my head,that guys likes her.I could smell the jealousy from him and it's obvious he wants her but yet he wants to torture her.He is a sadistic fool and I'm not going to allow it.
"That's why we should mark her so that all those guys stay away from her,"my wolf chimes in.
"I'm not sure claiming her will be okay. The thought of explaining the werewolf situation already feels like a burden,"I reply to my wolf.
"So ,"Claude looks at me again,"What are you going to do? She is human and it's rare for something like that to happen."
"I'm not taking her as my mate ,"I grumble.
"Lennny!"he uses my nickname and I growl at him ,"She is perfect for you.If I found out that she was my mate. I would take her -"
"One word from your mouth !"I grab his collar with my left hand.My wolf almost bursts out like an erupting volcano.
"I'm sorry,"Claude smiles languidly,"But if you are not going to claim her then don't act like a jealous freak over her.So save the drama and just make a decision."
"I don't even know why you are so invested in my love life,"I growl.
"Why wouldn't I ?"he cackles like a mainac,"You have never slept or dated any girl and you think I wouldn't be invested?"
"I think I can manage without a mate ,"I glare at him ,"She is human and it makes things very complicated for me."
"You are right,"he nods his head ,"But I have seen a lot of mated couples like that even though it's extremely rare and if you want a mate who is not human,maybe pay attention to her friend,she smells like a wolf,"
"No,"I deadpan.
Claude bursts laughing again and calms down , "That's solves it then but I know how strong the mate-bond is and you won't resist it ,"
There's no way I can take her as my mate.As long as I don't keep running into her then I'm fine.The only problem will be controlling my wolf and how much I can suppress this longing and yearning.She smells so sweet and it irks me so much.
Maybe I can just observe her or just leave her alone?
Crap! I can't seem to make a proper decision!
I'm utterly and royally screwed.
