Their Secret (Part 1)
Kerah's POV
I don't know how long I have been down here in the dark. They keep me down here when they don't need me or want to see me. I don't know why my parents hate me, but they love my brother. My brother gets to stay in the light and live inside the nice warm pack-house. I get to live outside in a hidden whole in the ground. They call me mole. I only get called my name when we have Alpha's here visiting. I'm the daughter they never wanted the stain in their perfect family. My family does more than just hide me away from the world. They beat me, they starve me, I only get enough food to keep me alive, they allow the Alphas that come here to rape and molest me, and make me do all the cooking and cleaning in the pack-house. I have no way to tell time down here. It's pitch black. If it wasn't for me being a werewolf, I wouldn't be able to see at all. I mainly sleep as I have nothing else to do. I don't know how long I was asleep before I got ripped of the ground and dragged across the room by my hair.
"Get up Mole. There are things that need to be done before Alpha Jarred gets here in a week. You won't be meeting him though, now that you're 18 we need to keep you locked away from all the Alphas. There is no way that you will ever leave this pack. Well there is one way." She says with a wicked laugh. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention they never taught me how to speak. This way, I can never talk back. I just nod my head and try to stand, so then I can climb out of my hole.
I climbed out of my hole and have to cover my eyes immediately as it was far too bright, and my eyes had to adjust to the brightness. She re-grabs my arm and drags me into the pack-house. She throws me to the ground next to the bucket of water and a scrub brush. I know what this means. I get to scrub the whole pack-house from top to bottom. I will have to go get the ladder when I get to the walls and ceiling of the pack-house. What fun I get to have. Makes me wonder who they have cooking for them. That poor sole who ever it is. these people eat like wild animals and make a huge mess.
"Stupid Mole. Can't you go any faster? There are other things you have to get done before this alpha arrives." Yells my mother. I look nothing like my family, but I guess that is a blessing. "You still have to replant the garden, make the menu for the visit, clean the guest suits, clean 10 warrior rooms, wash the cars, and please who ever needs it so they can keep their hands off of the visitors." She is still yelling I just nod my head and go faster. I made a mental note of all the other things that she wants to be done and move on to the upstairs of the pack-house.
By the time I finished with scrubbing the whole pack-house from top to bottom, I started on the menu. I'm used to not getting any sleep when they let me out of my mole hole. I finish the menu in an hour and move on to the next item on the list. I prepared a menu for 2 weeks, since she didn't tell me how long he would be staying. By the time i finish the whole list, it's time to go back to my hole. I have great hearing. I can hear everything that is said from above me.
Jarred's POV
"Welcome Alpha Jarred. It's a pleasure to have you here in our home and pack. We are so glad that you decided to come here to find your mate." She says so nicely that you can tell its fake. Or well, I can tell at least.
"Yes, thank you for the invitation. I would like to have a gathering of all of your untamed females." I said in a hurry. I can smell her, which means she is here. It smells like I'm right on top of her.
"That wont be a problem. We will set it up right now. They will all be here in an hour." She says fakely.
"Id like them to be here now. I'd like time with my mate before dinner. I don't really want to wait much longer." I said a bit rudely. But i don't really care at this point as her scent is driving me crazy. i could smell her all day and never get tired of it.
"Of course Alpha they are on their way now." She says, looking at the ground right where I'm standing. Thats a little strange.
Beta how many untamed females are in this pack.
30 Alpha. Why is there something the matter?
I can smell her, but so far none of these women are her. It smells like I'm right on top of her. But I can't see her.
That is strange. Alpha, would you like me to do a head count?
Yes please do. I don't think she is any of these here, and I'm counting 29. Doesn't she have a daughter just like the pack we left. Although their daughter looks more like this Alpha and Luna.
Yes Alpha, she does have a daughter. She would be the same age as the last one. OMG maybe the hospital switched the baby's up. Maybe the Blood Moon packs daughter is this packs daughter and the Blue Moons pack daughter is the Blood Moons packs daughter. That would be an interesting story.
OMG you're not funny.
"Where is your daughter Luna Sarah?"
"She is here, but she can't come out, she is ill." She says again, looking at the ground where i am standing.
Alpha, she is lying and what is so interesting about your feet.
I think they are hiding her. I think she is under the ground somewhere. I can smell her.
OK, I'll check the ground. I guess. Can you get them to move this somewhere else?
Yes, I got this.
"Can we move this to the back of the pack-house? I hear you have a wonderful garden here."
"Yes, of course. Let's go to the back of the house everyone." She shrikes at her members as if they just insulted her in the worst way possible.
Let me know if you find anything and I mean anything.
Yes Alpha.
We all go to the backyard. It does have a great garden. To bad the Luna isn't the one who planted this. You can tell by the way her hands look this thing was just planted and not one here has dirt on their hands nor do they smell like dirt.
Anything yet?
Not yet Alpha, I can hear someone under me though, but there is no hatch or door or anything. But I can hear snoring from underneath me. You were right about smelling her right under your feet.
I thought so. I'm going to question them. I want to know why they are hiding this she-wolf.
I looked around to find the Alpha and Luna. I finally spotted them over on a bench by one of the freshly planted gardens.
