It became hard to breathe. Lusie tried to gasp in air however something was smothering her making it in possible to breathe. She started struggling to get whoever was holding the object to her face. She could hear a female voice curse as the arms holding the object down pressed more weight cutting of more. Lusie lashed her claw like nails out and made contact with skin.
The girl screamed in pain from Lusie attack that dug into her shoulder. The girl shifted slightly easing off her weight which was enough for Lusie to have a little air. Adrenaline was kicked in as Lusie tightened the dug in nails as she pulled the other girls long hair back. The girl was screaming loudly. Lusie pushed her hips up making the girl unbalanced enough to fall onto the floor beside her bed.
She pulled the object, her pillow, off her face and sat up to stare straight at the attacker. Lusie breathed heavily as she took in a teenaged girl with messy auburn hair in a hospital gown. The girl held the shoulder Lusie had dug into and seemed ready to launch at her again when 3 men in uniforms ran into the open door. The men caught the girl mid launch. The girl struggled and screamed at the top of her lungs. The girl used her head as a weapon to hit one man's head but one of the others just took his place restraining her.
The adrenaline was slowly running out of Lusie's system. She watched as the trio pumped in a drug into the girls neck causing her to go slack in their hold immediately. Lusie was not sure what to do or think as the men put a stray jacket around the girl and dragged her out of Lusie's room. One of the men, the one with an aching head, looked at Lusie as he was shutting the door making it clear she should just go back to bed. So she quickly moved back into her bed as she could while taking in deep breaths. The door shut and the night went by with distant screams. Lusie was terrified to go back to sleep but losing all the energy she fell back to sleep not to long.
"Wake up!" A man's voice yelled waking Lusie up. Her heavy eyelids opened to see Tom standing over her bedside stand with another bowl of medicine.
"What time is it?" She asked rubbing her eyes and sitting up on the edge of her bed.
Tom was glaring at her. Lusie noticed his eyes look bloodshot and there was bags under them. He seemed to be in a testy mood. As if he hadn't slept well. Figuring from the lack of a response that she wasn't going to get one Lusie once again pretended to swallow the drugs before Tom would leave her in the room. She tried to dress quickly however her body was sore from the shock she had received yesterday and the strangling this morning.
"Hurry up!" Tom yelled through the door. He was tapping his foot impatiently and had his arms crossed in front of his chest. Tom was counting to 20 and had decided if she did not come out then he would bruise her stomach before they got to the doctors treatment.
He only got to 15 when the door beside him clicked open and the light brunette haired Lusie came out a little unsteady. Tom began to walk and dreaded having to guide the stupid blue eyed teenager. This was not what he wanted to do when he had another girl strapped up in isolation that he had to figure out what triggered her to attack Lusie. The doctor also left and blamed him for the girl escaping her room. Tom thought to himself how much easier it would be if he didn't work here but a normal hospital that did not have to have a high security for staff safety as well as all the crazy people he had to be around in one day.
Lusie silently followed Tom. She could tell there was something on his mind. He was walking quicker than yesterday as if he would rather be anywhere else. She felt likewise on that portion but he seemed high on annoyance. So she remained quiet the whole walk and did not ask for him to walk slower as she was dragging behind. No point when he would just get annoyed at her as well. Plus Lusie was dreading another treatment and really hoped she was not going to get shocked again.
"Lusie" her grandfather's voice whispered to her right. She looked over and saw him next to the metal door she had stopped at. He motioned for her to come with him and open the door. She looked at him like he was crazy.
"I'm not going anywhere near a demon possessed murderer." Lusie hissed under her breathe as Tom was going farther in front of her.
"Do you want to be shocked again?" Her grandfather asked.
She sighed. No of course she didn't but that didn't mean this would be less worse than being shocked. Her grandfather gave her that look that had always made her feel small. Lusie bit her lip and moved to the metal door after making sure Tom was far enough away not to notice.
The door surprisingly did not make a creaking sound like Lusie had expected. She easily entered into a new hall. Her heart rate increased as she followed her grandfather down the hall. There were bars in front of chained up doors along both sides of her straight through the hall. Her grandfather continued walking her to the last door with no window or slot. Lusie was confused on why her grandfather brought her here.
She did not get a chance to find out what was behind the door or why because Tom had found out she was missing and was standing at the metal door she had entered. He was red with being furious. He stomped his way to her and punched her in the gut. Lusie whimpered as she was crunched over from the impact.
Tom did not give her time to regroup or catch her breath. He grabbed her hair and pulled her head up as he looked down into her eyes. "If you ever do that again I will personally throw you into the demons cell so he can finish you off slowly." Tom growled and emphasized slowly in a cruel tone.
He grabbed her arm not caring how it hurt or how she would have a bruise there the next day. Then Tom dragged her all the way to the treatment room roughly shoving her into the chair and strapping Lusie in. Lusie had tried to struggle along the way but Tom was too strong. She had not even really paid attention to how her grandfather had been yelling at Tom. Nor had she heard the terrifying screams the mentaly ill patients in the rooms close to the treatments. Lusie was surprised at how quickly Tom was indifferent then the furious red faced man in front of her now.
"You must have done something Lusie. Tom's usually never this mad. Unless you tried to run off." Dr. Williams voice drew her attention away from Tom that had moved to the door. Lusie shivered. Oh Lusie was going to pay dearly for just taking a detour that her grandfather had wanted her to take for some mysterious reason.
