Rith, do you remember mr Aditya Roy from ISSA? My dad cut the phone and looking at my direction, waiting for my answer.

“Yes, in the record files.” Why? What’s the matter? I asked curiously.

“He is transferred here again and probably moving with his family. I invited them to our house for the dinner.” My dad said with little excitement.

“I don’t recognise them still, maybe I was little then.” I tried to remember his face but I can’t.

“Oh, yes. You are right. Anyway, don’t be late for the dinner. It’s important to meet the officer, you know it very well.”

“Okay, dad.” I took my mobile and messaged our pack’s beta to find the record files.

When I was going to exit the hall My mom enters in and asked my dad, “Jay, what should I make for the dinner?

“Mom, if You’ll be cooking tonight then make chicken curry.” I interrupted in between .The thought of chicken curry makes my mouth watered.

“Great idea. I’ll do it.” My mom loves the cooking but as a Luna she doesn’t have time for the cooking every day.

Mom, can I order pizza? Nik said as he entered the house throwing his bag.

“No, you can’t eat pizza everyday Nik. Don’t make your wolf look like pig.” Mom said furiously to Nik.

“That’s not fair. Rith will gonna have his favourite dish tonight, why can’t I? Nik argued back.

“ because, he doesn’t eat fast food. He always takes care of his health, and he loves my cooking.” My mom proudly said.

*cough* “ Rith loves his abs more than your food, mom.” Nik teased mom.

“You, jerk.” I took a pillow from the couch and threw it on the nik’s face.

“Don’t worry Rith, I know you love my cooking.” My mother sweetly smiled and kissed my cheek.

“Ahem.. ..” My dad trying to get the attention.

“Where were you today young boy? What type of studies you are doing In your vacation period? Dad asked Nik, and here we go again.

Nik as always comes home from his make out session. I can clearly smell him and my dad also. Nik is younger than me and it’s hard to control our urges when we newly shift.

I kissed my mom on the cheek, and left them arguing. I exited from the hall and take my black ‘Wrangler’s key. I started the car engine and thanked Moon goddess for giving me such a nice family.

There is a hidden lake high in the mountains of Alnora. Which is known as ‘Moon’s lake’. In which the water is filled only by the light of the full moon. Twenty four years ago, my mother came to that lake on a lunar eclipse night in her werewolf form. she found a beautiful baby, floating on the surface of water without any support. She took the baby with her and took care of him like his own son.That child was me.

I am their adopted son though I am the next Alpha. Because i am the strongest son. Nik doesn’t mind it either because he never made me feel like an outsider. I have special abilities that makes me different from other wolves. I can suck energy from people and any supernatural being. I can make them weak. They can feel whatever I wanted them to feel, it’s like mind control. I can know their deepest fear just by looking into their eyes. That’s why I am the strongest wolf in Alnora.

It’s not always easy to control the powers. When I turned twelve, my powers began to appear one by one. At first I could not control them. Even in my sleep I can’t control it. I had hurt people a lot. After years With the help of mediation, I have learnt to control my power.

I was so lost in thoughts that I didn’t know when I reached the office.
