The night before Amara was moved Samuels POV

1539 Words
It's dinner time. Amara looks tired. I'll just take the Alpha and Luna's food to them. Hopefully she's able to get some rest tonight. I grab the food from the counter and take it in. I over hear them discussing Amara on my way in. "Marcus, Dear... I was thinking about the worthless runt in the kitchen. What are your plans regarding that waste of space?" "Well, my Darling, it's entirely up to you. Our boys already have her territory. Although they still have problems with disgruntled wolves, here or there, trying to disrupt their rule over the territory. We just have to be careful of uprisings. There are those still out there loyal to James and believe Amara to be alive. Even though we showed them pictures of her dead body, and held that mock funeral for her and her parents that was a hassle in itself. Either way, it's theirs', none the less. And it is one of the biggest packs and territories other than the kings, of course. We also have the families money. When does she turn 18 again?" "In two nights, April 29th I believe, at midnight. She won't turn, I'm sure of it. After all, she is defective like I've told you. She has no wolf. " "Well, we can just kill her then. The Moon Goddess can't be angry with us. She will be an adult and we can just be rid of her. I mean she did cause us to have to demote a good beta to be her caregiver. I really miss having Samuel as my beta. The other three beta's I've gone through over the years know nothing about running a territory. They're morons in comparison. Then we can hire the staff back, which would be nice. Some of the meals this runt cooks are nothing compared to the chefs we did have. All we've sacrificed for this misfit runt. It would be better just to be done with her. We can just bury her in an unmarked grave in the back somewhere. She won't be missed. No big deal." "Excuse me, Alpha ." I chime in. "As much as I dislike the girl. She could be useful. She is very obedient. The food she makes isn't as glamorous as you were use to. That's true. But, if you hire one or two cooks, no one will know who she is. She cleans very well. You'd save a lot on housekeeping and it costs no more than some simple maintenance. You'd be saving a fortune on house keepers. It would be wiser to keep her on. She also won't talk, which is great. I think her silence is the best thing about her, instead of having all those gossipy house keepers you had before." "But, Dearest.... what if someone finds out who she really is? What if she finds out who she really is? We can't take that risk. We will be in serious trouble holding her against her will for all these years. Not only that, our son's could lose their territory. Then we would be forced to hand our territory and pack over to our sons for that matter. And that's if they don't just decide to replace our whole family with someone else. You have to remember dear. Our son's control the pack there, we control out pack here, but we control our sons. We can't risk losing all of it over some defective shewolf." "Good thinking, my love. We can't give all that up. That settles it. She'll be gone from this world in a weeks time. If she doesn't shift like you claim she won't. Then she'll be easier to kill. I'll do it myself. Dearest, if you'd like to watch, I know it'll give you great pleasure." " Of course, I'd love to watch it. Her mother gave me nothing but trouble when she was alive. You know she looks so much like her now. Well, accept her eyes. Her mothers were blue. It'll be as if witnessing her mother's death with my own eyes. Oh the glory in it." Luna Lucy giggles like a school girl. "Well, If that's how you feel, I may just let you do the deed yourself. Anything to make you happy." "Oh yes, Thank you my love. I could witness the color leave those Forest green eyes myself." "That's a rare color hmm.... I never noticed." Marcus takes a bite of his roast and smiles at his wife with admiration, as if her hideousness makes her that much more attractive to him. I take notice of his interest in the rare color of Amara's eyes and say something I soon regret. "It is a very rare color, Alpha. The rarest, in fact. They say forest green is the closest to the Goddess' color itself. You know I'm honestly surprised you never thought of just breeding her with your sons and be done with the worry of ever losing the pack or territory again. They'd be your sons' rightfully. That way, any discgruntled pack members your sons are dealing with would be of no concern. They would have no choice but to accept them as their alpha's because they bred with the Luna of the pack." "That girl is no Luna!" Luna Lucy Yells "No, of course not. I just meant they would see her as their long lost Luna." "And What do you suppose they'll do if Amara just shows up one day, taken there by us? Do you think they won't question it?" "With all respect, Luna Lucy, I know they'll have questions. But explaining it will be too easy. You see, Amara is obedient. She will do anything we say. You can barely raise a hand to her and she flinches. We simply tell the pack that we got word that the child was taken by the rogues that killed her parents that night. And that the body of the girl, despite having a small resemblance to Amara was in fact, not her. Tell them that we had been doing our own reconnaissance work after hearing she may be alive. If you'd like we could even give credit to the twins for ordering the recon work to be done. Then we tell the twins to choose her as their mate. Once she has done her deed of breeding, you can do what you want with her." "How about the fact that they're Cousins? Does that not mean anything to either of you? They could look down on us and the twins for even thinking about mating with the girl. Not to mention the fact that she's defective, do you really think we need defective pups as well? Not to mention she needs medication just to keep her alive , the 2 shots a day. That's a lot more work than any of this is worth." "Lucy, Darling. They're step-cousins. James was your stepbrother, remember. You never let me forget it. There's no actual blood there. That being said. I think Beta Samuel, or should I say soon, to be Beta Samuel. Has an amazing plan. It will ensure complete control of the pack. As for Amara, when her role in this is over, we will stage an accident. The defective pups, if they're as defective as you say, we can raise them. Just when they're old enough, we'll either have to get rid of them or just never allow them to take any position of Alpha or Luna of the packs. Instead, we can wait for when the boys find their fated mates and allow one of those pups to take over. It's that simple." "But! Marcus, we just agreed less than a minute or so ago that I would be able to kill her myself a week from today. I would be the one to take her life." Luna pouted. Marcus got up from his chair, knelt down by Lucy and took her hand. "My dearest Luna, the Love of my life. I will not deny you the death of this woman . I would deny you nothing. You were denied her mother's death and it fills my heart with sorrow that I could not give you that. You shall have her child's life, her territories, her pack and all the power I can give you. You will kill her and we will make it look like an accident. I love you so much, anything you want is yours. We just need to solidify our right to the territory and the pack. "Oh, Marcus, you have always and will always be so good to me. I will let you do what you want first. Just know I will be waiting patiently for you to fulfill your promise." "Alpha, Luna, If you don't mind I will leave you now. I need to make sure the runt is doing her work. Please let me know when you are done so I can have her clean this room." "Yes, leave us. I will link you when we're finished." I bow as I walk away. As I make my way to the door all I can think is : What have I done and how can I fix this?
