THIRD PERSON’S POV
“Who did this?” Lilith bellowed in anger slamming her hand on the table and in the process scaring Rachael off Axle’s lap.
“Lilith what are you talking about?” Rachael frowned adjusting her cloth and looking at Lilith in an annoyed state.
Lilith was fuming in anger trying not to say or do something she will regret later on.
“Who did this to my brother?” Lilith said calmly but in an authoritative voice, holding the hem of her uniform to somehow reduce her anger.
The group started laughing in a mocking manner, turning away from Lilith and paying no attention to her. Lilith was beyond outrage at this point, she looked and sees Rachael climbing back to Axle’s lap and Axle was looking at her in a curious way because she seemed so different from the Lilith he saw, always trying to belong please and never speaking up for herself.
Unknown to Lilith Jacob was eye r****g her. Jacob now looking at Lilith thought to himself that Lilith is indeed a beauty, if he had known that this is the same girl his parents are telling him to go out with he would have agreed a long time ago. And if she is the same Lilith who his friends talks about then, that makes her an easy target to use and dump. He smirked to himself in an evil manner. Dropping the half eaten apple tucking his hands in his pocket he walks over to Lilith, thus getting the attention of the whole group.
“Hello pretty lady, my name is Jacob Sylvia. You must have heard of me from your parents, we were meant to meet last Saturday but I was busy. We can catch up now” Jacob said displaying his famous smile that makes girls to fall at his feet.
Lilith could barely hear what he was saying all she could see what the same monster that destroyed her in the past. The guy that contributed to her insecurities and added to her parents’ insults, abusing her both physically and mentally which she told her parents and she remembers clearly what happened
FLASH BACK
“Dad mom, I have something to tell you” Lilith was shaking in fear and also from the bruises that was afflicted to her recently by Jacob.
John looks up from his laptop and look at his daughter furrowing his eyebrows glancing over to his wife that was seated near him who was on her phone paying no attention.
“Samantha Lilith has something to say pay attention” John told his wife he said while continuing his work on laptop. Samantha huffed in anger and looked at her daughter in annoyance, raising her brows.
“Jacob has been abusing me, he r***s me regularly and verbally abuse me. He passes me around his friends and beats me up when I disobey him. This is even little compare to what he have done in the last 6 months, please I cannot take it anymore. HELP ME!!” Lilith slumped and crawled to her mother’s lap crying profusely, trying to seek comfort from her mother
Lilith was still crying but stopped when she feels her mother’s hand on her hair, stroking her in a comforting way.
“Well he has every right to do so honey, you see in order for the business deal to go through a deal breaker had to made and that deal breaker is you sweetly. Apparently Jacob has fallen head over heels for you so for him to be on our side in convincing his father we signed a one year ownership contract of you, thus he owns you and can do whatever he wants to do with you and we were always aware of what is being done with you” Samantha said a sweet motherly voice
Lilith raise her head from her mother’s lap looking at her in shock then over to her father but John was still typing on his laptop without a care in the world
“How can you do that to your own child? How can you sell your own child and watch her being mistreated?” although Lilith whispered this in horror and denial Samantha and John heard her still.
Ahhhhh Lilith screamed in pain
Samantha gripped Lilith’s hair forcing her to look at her
“Don’t you want my love and attention? Don’t you want us to have a normal relationship like every mother and daughter? Why must I always be the one providing and giving things to you? I carried you for 9 months, during the 9 months I went through hell because of you and spent 12 hours in labor and in pain. Then why can’t you do this small favor for your parents who have sacrificed so much for you? You so ungrateful and wicked” Samantha roared pushing away Lilith from her lap and started sobbing covering her eyes with her hand. John saw this and quickly shut off his laptop rushing to the side of his wife to comfort her. Still trying to comfort his wife which turns out to be futile, he looks at his daughter with such hate that Lilith winced
“Why are you always making your mother sad? Why can you not just do what she says? Why did we end up with a daughter like you?” John shouted at his daughter
Lilith started feeling guilty; she feels her parents are right. They have done so much for her and yet she could not do this little favor for them. She is indeed an ungrateful child. Wiping away her tears, she rushed to her mother’s side
“Mom, I am so sorry. Please forgive me, I promise I will do everything you asked of me without complaining. Please do not cry any more, I am sorry” shaking her mother’s leg while kneeing and begging for forgiveness
Samantha tears immediately ceased and she looks over to where her daughter is
“You promise you will do everything we ask of you?” Samantha stroke Lilith’s cheek in a loving form
“Yes mom I promise you, so please stop crying” Lilith consoled her mother with teary eyes
Samantha crouched to the level her daughter is and hugged her
“If you do everything that pleases me and your father, then we will show you love and affection like how I am doing now. Good girl” Samantha said to her daughter’s ear
“Okay mom, I love you. I will do everything to make you happy”
