Imperfectly perfect lovers

Three years ago… English lessons were so BORING! Why on Earth was I sitting through an English lesson writing a post card during my summer holidays? Summer school had only just started and I have two more weeks to endure, uhhh. I suppose it was an easier way to meet new faces before I start at this new, strange and unfamiliar school. P.s you’ll come to know I hate having to socialise and meet new people, I’m more of a lone wolf. Anyways, here I am bored out of my mind so I start to read around. The tatted posters on the displays, germ infested tables with gum stuck on them, the ancient carpets. After analysing all the displays I move on to study who i’ll be spending my time with these next five years at high school. Next to me is an uptight, rich daddy’s girl who’s perfume is so strong it’s burning my nostrils and the sound of her fake nails clacking against the most recent iphone out is annoying me to no extent! Definitely steer clear of her. Moving on to my left is a boy the same age as me but very tall and skinny. He is just staring at his worksheet zoned out, i wonder what he is thinking about. ‘pssttt’ I unsuccessfully get his attention so I nudged him a little bit… CRASH he falls off his chair. I rush to help him up, grab his hand to hoist him up but he’s red faced and tries to hide beneath his glasses as everyone laughs. Just then my spidey senses start to tingle and I shift my eyes up after feeling an intense stare. BOOM! It’s a clash of hazel and deep rich brown colliding; my eyes meet his curious ones. His chocolate covered orbs run over my freckled face and quickly averts elsewhere. I scan his face to see his tanned skin, shaved hair and dark eyelashes. Over the next two weeks I come to know that his name is Lucian. We talked a lot more, we was in the same group so we done cooking together, went on the same trips to science and war museums and even the beach. I actually made friends with almost everyone and grew a lot closer to Lucian, we had talked almost everyday; he was a lot more cheeky than I would’ve imagined. I secretly had a crush on him but was too shy to say anything. Soon enough, the end of the fun filled summer camp that I thought would be gloomy and miserable ended. On the last day we all had a bbq and sports tournaments. One girl I had grown close to had a crush on my friend and was as shy as me. In the end we made a pact we would help one another out and tell each other’s crushes we liked them. This is the start of my journey to how I unknowingly ended up in a complete twists of fate, learning lessons on what I want and need and with no idea how I got here!
