Imperfectly perfect lovers

Chapter 4 <3

We had all been together for around an hour now and was matching a movie. I was sitting with Lucian his arms wrapped around me, Willow was with Lucians cousin Kai and Penelope was with their best friend Calvin. We was all chilling and decided to smoke some weed. We had all tried it once or twice before but not regularly.

Two failed joints later we finally rolled something that was on the verge of smoke-able. We all crammed together like fishes being caught in a net in the small bathroom to hot box. We spent the next 30 minutes giggling over nothing and eating everything in site. Three games of darts while intoxicated and A LOT of holes in the wall from where we missed ( that we would have to explain to Willows parents somehow) later we all went to lay down. As expected Lucian laid down with me. We wasn’t tied to each other romantically for a while now and honestly I was relieved. Tonight we had to make the numbers even with the boys so my friend had asked me to and I quote ‘take one for the team’.

Ahh I’m so dumb, I am always vulnerable when it comes to him! He starts to kiss up my neck and inches closer to my face. He stares into my eyes silently asking for permission and then to my red glossed lips. Slowly but surely he moves closer and then…

BAM! I jumped up startled to see Penelope at the door, ‘WE ARE OUTTT OF CHEEETOSSSS; we need to go get some more!!’ . Damn stoners and the munchies. Lucian looks to Penelope with a look that could kill but agrees to let me go eventually. He takes out his phone and starts messaging someone instantly which sets off red suspicion flags. Stupid me forgetting not to get involved and getting lost in the moment.

The next couple hours Lucian seems spaced out and keeps checking his phone while Penelope passed out after eating all the food, Willow clearly enjoyed her time with Kai from what she told us when we all told each other about what happened.

The next morning we all woke up and ate breakfast and went about our day. The boys left to go home and Lucian had to study with his history partner.

The following week at school:

Lucian and I had been seeing each other frequently and taking this slow. Together we spent time with Willow and Kai in the Forrest’s exploring, he took me on his motorbike, we spent time at his house etc. To sum it up we was growing extremely close, it was going well I thought.

On our way to school willow and I picked up our usual sugar filled pastries from the bakery and went to school. We joined assembly and the headteacher took the stage. ‘Good morning everyone, I would like to make a quick announcement to inform everyone of the new three students that will be joining our school this year in part of a scheme to form diversity and cohesion between youths. I expect you to welcome everyone warmly and will be appointing someone to personally show them around, that is all. Everyone is dismissed.’

Everyone was buzzing with excitement at the thought of new faces. The girls were already fantasising over their new future husbands and the guys were hoping for easier girls to conquer.

I wonder what the new people will be like? Probably arrogant, rude, self entitled like the rest of them. Maybe just maybe one of them will be decent but not likely, right?
