13. Will You Marry Me

Silas got home late that night and he had missed dinner. Ruby was already asleep, she had played hard today with Anne-Marie and worked hard as well. Although Silas wasn't aware she was deeply asleep because she was exhausted. Silas went to his room and took a shower and then he went to his study to read just one chapter of his book but as he sat there trying to concentrate he couldn't. He had carefully thought about his decision on his way home and he had decided that he wouldn't follow through with Grant's suggestions. Yet here he was second guessing himself,  Silas was a man who made decision and once he made them they were sealed and they will be no changes made.  He stood up and started pacing around his study, after thirty seconds of pacing he realized what he has been doing and found himself not so impressed by his actions. He had made a new decision and this one was going to stick. Now in an attempt to remind himself that he always made the right choices and that he was good at decision making he impulsively walked down to Ruby room  "Ruby I'm coming in"  he knocked two times and there was no response. "hope you're not indecent"  he walked in covering his eyes. When he opened them expecting to find Ruby's room all dark but all he saw was Ruby still in her uniform and it was evident that Ruby had thrown herself on the bed due to exhaustion. Now it was true that Silas had been single for years and the times that he was in relationships he wasn't known for his gentleman status and neither was he known for being romantic. Instead of putting a blanket on her Silas went over and started lightly patting her but Ruby wasn't moving.  "Ruby you have to wake up."  He commanded but Ruby didn't move.

"Ruby!!"  He screamed and all the action that Ruby took was to turn sides, Ruby wasn't much of a deep sleeper but not also a light sleeper like if a robber entered while she was sleeping she would hear the robber if he knocked things off or broke a window. Silas walked over to the top of the bed and took one of her pillows and violently hit Ruby on the face with it  "I said wake up."  he stood there after his violent act waiting for Ruby to wake up and in an instinct and clearly being upset for being rudely woken up after such an exhausting day Ruby kicked Silas in his groin and he Groaned as he clutched himself in pain.  "King why are you shirtless in my room?"  she should be groggy from waking up but her heart rate had accelerated by the abrupt and rude gesture from her boss so she was wide awake like a heart attack had hit her.  "That is not important right now."  Silas was still holding himself and trying to get off his knees as he hissed in pain.  "You want me to get you ice?"  Ruby asked with nonchalantly and Silas shook his head in annoyance and right in that moment he wondered why he was even here? Why would he want to use this woman to trick his father, his father is obviously going to see right through his act and that fact that this woman is nowhere the type of woman he would go for.

Silas stood up the pain was mild and he looked at Ruby for a few second and Rosy looked at him right back  "What do you want?"  she finally asked after those few seconds of emotions passed through their eyes straight into their souls and it was evident that both of them felt it but just didn't understand what the hell just happened.  "Nothing. Go back to sleep."  Silas commanded with a mood change in his voice and face, it sounded like he was disappointed and angry at the same time and Ruby caught  up to that and she looked at him like a mad man as he turned to walk away  "you mean you woke me up from my deep sleep for nothing!??"  her voice rose a little bit as she could hear her rage and annoyance coming and Silas nodded  "Yes. and also because I can."  Ruby immediately recognized that bossy tone and knew that what Silas was saying is that he was the boss and he can do whatever he wants in his mansion. Silas took a second and glanced back real quick at her but Ruby was picking up the pillow that he used to hit her and she took the pillow and threw it with all the power she could conjure at that moment, she threw it at him and it definitely didn't miss as she screamed  "PRICK!!"  

Silas took a deep breath and left. On his way to his room he was filled with thought of confusion and annoyance towards himself, at what point did he think he was not a good decision maker so much so that he had to rethink his decision to marry that woman. There was no way it was her, it must definitely be someone else even Grant would be a great person for this role. As soon as that thought hit he had an idea and he was pretty sure that Grant would hate it and he also hates it but they were friends and really it's not like Grant has someone he has to impress. Silas's vigor and strength came back and he spent the night messing up his study as he read and did his work, somehow he also managed to mess up his bedroom and he ended up sleeping on a chair in a very weird position. Ruby came in the morning to do her job and yes she was still very upset about yesterday and stepping into Silas's room didn't improve her mood at all and then she saw that he wasn't in his bed and she thought he had already left for work which explains the mess he left so she sat there and thought about her position in life.

She was going down to eat breakfast before she could tackle her work again today but on her way to eat she saw that the study was open so she was just going to close the door but as soon as her eyes landed in there she saw another mess created by Silas and him sleeping right on top of his mess. Fuming inside considering she spent her entire day yesterday organizing this very room only to wake up to this and also the very same person who created the mess had the audacity to wake her up last night for nothing. She went back to his room and got one of his hard decorating pillows and walked back into that study. She took a deep breath to build her strength and swung with all her strength as she yelled  "wake up you prick!". Upon impact Silas skipped and fell off his chair and landed on the floor and all that was heard was a thud.  "I have been trying to wake you up for the past seven minutes."  Ruby offered a helping hand as she let go of the pillow and lied.  "I almost missed you in here. I thought you had left early."  she sweet talked him to his room so that he wouldn't look around for the hard object that had hit his face. Silas showered and they had their morning routine without the flirting or the talking at all.

Grant entered Silas's office in a hurry like it's an emergency that it even startled poor Maddie and Craig  "What in the sh*t!!?"  he huffed and puffed  "oh hey Briggs, what's up Craig."  Craig bowed his head in respect, he preferred not to talk especially to these two but he liked talking to Maddie a lot. He made his delivery and left, Silas took the envelope and stood  "great you got the massage, shall we discuss it further?"  he was confident and all that Grant did was look at him in disgust.  "Have you lost your goddam mind?"  Grant asked because when he walked in he thought it was a joke but turns out the psycho was serious.  "what is happening?"  Maddie was suddenly invested in this said drama  "What is happening is that your boss who also happens to be my best friend has officially lost the battle with his mind."  Maddie looked at both of them waiting for a clearer explanation.  "Grant listen we can make it work and I think Briggs would agree."  Silas was demanding but at the same time making a plea  "Briggs would agree to what?"  Maddie was dying of curiosity  "He Wants Us To Be Gay!"  Grant yelled as he realized the words that were coming out of mouth but Maddie was still processing this information  "but being gay isn't a decision..."  Maddie trailed off  "He is being a drama queen."  Silas defended himself  "I only said we should pretend to be gay."  as soon as those words left his mouth Grant threw his hands in the air in exasperation and wonder.  "huh?"  Maddie needed more clarity.

"My supposed best friend want me to tell the his father including the whole world that me and him have been secretly dating."  Maddie cracked up as soon as Grant said that  "He what?"  she just needed him to say that again  "Briggs stop laughing and tell him it could work."  Silas needed her on his team and Maddie complied by nodding while laughing. With Grant's super strong opposition and Maddie's laughter Silas felt the need to explain and in his explanation he mentioned things like how even though they are know as the eligible bachelors they both had been single for a very long time with no s*x scandal whatsoever, how they are seen mostly together in social gatherings and the span of their friendship.  Maddie couldn't stop laughing and Grant wasn't buying whatever Silas was selling, he was ready to help his best friend with anything including donating a kidney if he ever needed one but this was way out of line and he understood the wickedness of Mr. King senior but no.  "I hear all of that but No."  Grant shook his head violently you would he wanted it to fall off and Maddie cracked up again  "besides what happened to asking Scotts?"  he remembered that he had actually gave him a good idea the very same day that he thought about all of this madness. Silas's face suddenly changed  "it's not going to work."  he answered and Grant looked at him in disbelief.

"How did you come to that conclusion?"  Grant tried to keep his cool  but all Silas did was shake his head and say  "Meh."  Grant took a step back because in what world does this kind of  logic exist?  "She can't say no if you use whatever is that envelope to your advantage."  Grant tried so hard not to scream at his dumb, stupid friend  "we don't know if what we will find would be useful."  Silas stated and Grant lost it in that very moment and turned his friend around so that he could face him and he gave him the best right hook to the face he could find. Silas lost his balance as he was not expecting that at all and fell awkwardly to the floor and Maddie died with laughter but she was also impressed  "Do with that what you will."  Grant almost spit on him because he was upsetting but he fixed his three-piece suit  "See you around Briggs."  he nodded and Maddie said  "You looked really hot for a split second."  she fanned herself and they high fived and Grant exited the office as dramatically as he entered it. Maddie looked at Silas as he was nursing his jaw and probably bruised lip. "You need anything?"  Maddie was holding in her laughter.

Another day of exhaustion but today was pretty depressing because Anne-Marie was really running for life over things that no one understood. Ruby suddenly realized she had bit more than she can chew with this job but it was what it was. she entered her room and threw herself in bed with exhaustion again but this time she managed to get out of her uniform and only into her pajama shirt, she tossed the trouser and slept. Silas came home but he wasn't that late, he took a shower and went to the back of his closet where a small compartment opened and he took out the ring that had belonged to his mother before she died. It wasn't an engagement or marriage ring, it was just a silicone ring with summer flowers embedded within. This was the ring he brought his mother with his first money he earned himself after a huge fight with his father which led to his allowance to be temporarily cut. He had brought it because his mother loved jewellery and summer flowers so he combined them and even after all the Jewellery, fancy cars and fancy things that his father had brought his mother, Silas's mother still said that this ring was the best thing she has ever received after him and she wore it all the time. On her death bed she gave it back and said  "After my life is over this is the only precious thing I can leave with you." 

Silas made a beeline to Ruby's bedroom as he pondered a lot about what he had read in that file about her life. When he got there he didn't find exactly what he was expecting, He found a half naked Ruby lying peacefully on her bed, breathing steadily in and out and yes she was a beautiful sleeper. She didn't snore or drool and she didn't toss or turn while sleeping, as much as he was pulled in by that peaceful sleeping face, her thick thighs and that strap of her thong that was visible on her side also caught his attention. He wanted to run his hands on that skin but instead he pulled a chair and sat as he watched beauty sleeping. He sat there with an empty mind as just watched her legs and face, fifteen minutes later Ruby turned in her sleep and suddenly her s*s was all that Silas could see. He looked at it as the thong revealed absolutely everything and for the first time he found himself thanking the gods for the creation of thongs. He stood up because he really wanted to feel that a*s and he did. He rubbed, squeezed and rubbed again and that a*s was valid, he really needed to change her uniform because it was really hiding a lot.

"Ruby."  He whispered in her ear and Ruby didn't open her eyes but she responded. "can you turn around for me."  he whispered in her ear again but Ruby didn't comply so he offered a helping hand, as he was turning her Ruby's eyes fluttered open  "what are you doing..."  she asked clearly not in a mood to wake up  "Just turn this side please."  Silas answered and Ruby finally turned and asked  "Why?"  her eyed pretty much closed after that but she responded again when Silas said  "I need to ask you something important, okay."  Silas cleared his throat and said  "Ruby Scotts will you marry me?"  he whispered those words in her ears and as the hot breath from his mouth hit that ear canal Rosy smiled in her sleep and said  "Mhhm... Yes."  it was low and her voice was raspy and sleepy but that Yes was clearly heard by Silas. He took a second to think about it and then he placed the ring on her finger then sweetly kissed her hand. He went to her ear again and said  "thank you."  then he kissed neck with some wet pecks and Ruby giggled but her eyes were still closed. Silas took his chair again and sat there as he watched his fiancée peacefully sleep with a smile. He stayed there for a bit and then after forty five minutes of watching a woman beautifully sleeping he stood up and went to sleep himself. He got to his room but there was no comfortable position to sleep so he took two pillows and went to Ruby's room. He placed one pillow as a barrier between them and the other he used for his head and then he cuddled his fiancée as he pressed himself hard against that pillow barrier and her ass.
