My father came right over to me with a very angry look on his face. “I told your stubborn ass that they would come find you no matter where you were. Now look at what is going on. You should have listened to me.”

I didn't want to cause a scene but the twins were a different story.

“Sir, I am sorry, but you do not have the right to talk to the Luna of this pack like that.” Delcan said as calmly as he could.

My father just stood there with his eyes locked on Delcan. That was when Dalton approached him from behind.

“So I advise you to speak with more respect.”

My fathers eyes widened and then he dropped his head as he ran his hands over his face. He truly pissed me off. HIs comment was more of an ‘I told you so’ and that was not what I needed to hear right now. Thankfully I have two amazing mates and they stuck up for me. Even though I didn't need them to.

Nevada broke the awkward silence and began to speak.

“Alright, now that we are all here, lets get down to business. We have called you two here….”

My mother cut her off.

“We already know what’s going on here and that was why we agreed to come so quickly.”

“And we thank you for that. So now what is our next move?” Daniel asked.

“Prepare for a fight…” my father answered.

“A fight?” Nevada questioned.

“Yes they are coming for Marie.” My mother responded.

“Well there hasn’t been any trouble in the last few days.” Nevada added.

“That is because they are gathering more people to help them.” My mother informed us.

“So who are these three shadow people that I have seen following me around?” I asked knowing that my parents just might have that

answer. My father was the first one to speak.

“Well, one is Morgana.”

“Morgana? Who is that?” I needed to know who it was that was stalking me. My mother gave me an answer.

“Morgana used to be my best friend when I was a kid. But when I got older and she found out I was a princess things changed between us. She got upset when we couldn't hang out the way that we used to. I had to learn my duties and that upset her. Then she wanted me to help make her part of the royal family by changing the law once I became Queen. When I refused to do it is when all hell broke loose. She tried to attack me one time in the castle but some of my guards were able to stop her.”

“So how do shadow people fit in here?” I inquired.

“She grew so much hatred towards your mother and she ended up letting that hatred consume her. As a result it turned her dark.” my father answered.

“Alright so who are the other two?” I asked. And this time my mother answered.

“Another one is Jason. He is someone who thinks Marie will choose him as her mate and then it will make him King.”

“But I will never choose him.”

“You're not marked so he thinks he has a chance to change your mind.” my father chimed in.

The twins got really pissed hearing this. I touched my neck where their marks would be. This made me think about them marking me and what that entailed. I began to blush. Ashina was getting excited and honestly so was I. I also knew the guys could smell it because they were coming closer to me with smiles on their faces. I broke the silence and asked who the third person was.

“That we are not sure of. We only know about those two so far. We do have our scouts out trying to get more information.” my father enlightened us.

“So how do we prepare?” Delcan asked.

“Yeah! How do we know who is a shadow person?” Dalton added.

“Well to prepare we are going to bring in our shadow person expert Kingston. He will help train you and your pack.” my mother answered.

My father spoke as he always seems to have something to add. “And to know who is a shadow person is easy. They don't have a shadow. That is why they can only exist in the shadows once they are in this form.”

“Thank you for the information.” I said and my father just nodded. I feel like he has something against me. I don't know what or why but that is the vibe that he is giving off. My stomach started to feel really bad and then the pain shot right through me. I doubled over in front of everyone. It was a horrible pain. Delcan came right over to me and picked me up into his arms. He whispered into my ear.

“Marie, you are going through your heat. I need to take you up the stairs right now.”

I didn't say anything. I just wrapped my arms around his neck and nodded letting him take me wherever he needed to. I just needed this pain to go away. He then lifted me up and carried me up the stairs into my room.

“Marie, you are in heat.” he said to me with a worried look on his face. I clutched my stomach as Delcan put me on my bed.

“How do I stop this pain?” I asked as the pain was getting worse. Delcan began to blush.

“Well Marie, you have two options, you can have s*x with me right now or a hot bath.”

“What!” I yelled.

“Yeah,” Delcan began as he ran his hands through his hair. “s*x stops the pain because of the physical connection. Or a warm bath with me will also help ease the pain. The bath doesn't make it go away, it just makes it more bearable.”

“Why with you?”

“Because of our mate bond my physical touch will be a big help.”

At first I thought he just wanted to see me naked. But the look on his face told me that he was telling me the truth. However, I am not quiet ready for s*x just yet. So I chose the bath. Delcan immediately went to the bathroom and started the tub. The pain was getting worse.

“Delcan!” I shouted as the pain was becoming unbearable to the pint I wanted to throw up.

“Yes love?” he answered as he approached me.

I jumped up wrapping my arms around his neck drawing him in for a deep needy kiss. Instantly the pain was getting better. He wrapped his hand around the back of my neck and deepened the kiss. He walked us to the bathroom where he slipped my dress off over my head leaving me only in my underwear. I then watched him undress. He had the body of a god. I wanted him more than ever. But mentally I still wasn't ready.

Once we were both naked he helped me into the tub. There he filled my lufa with my soap and began to wash my back. Just his legs touching mine as I sat in front of him helped calm the pain tremendously. He then told me that he was going to link Dalton and have him cook me something warm to eat. That will also help with the pain. I agreed and when he was done he began to massage my shoulders, neck and back. Once we were done in the bathroom he carried me down stairs bridal style. He sat me at the dining table with my parents as well as his parents.

Dalton took a break from whatever he was making to come sit with me for a minute to check up on me. Upon reaching the table I saw that he was bringing me tea and ginger ale because of my upset tummy.

***** Marie's POV *****

After the bath, the tea and ginger ale I was really starting to feel better.

“Thank you boys so much. Everything is helping a lot.”

“Anything for you babe!” Dalton expressed.

“Are you up for some ceremony planning with us?”

“Ceremony?”

“Yeah we would like to plan a Luna ceremony for you if that is okay with you.”

I thought about it for a minute. After what happened before I am a little reluctant to be in front of the whole pack again.

“Don't worry this time we will do it your way so that you are most comfortable.” Delcan assured me, and I began to feel a bit better about the whole thing. Plus I think right now I want to get my mind off of the shadow people so I think this might just be the key to doing that. Plus it looked like everyone wanted a change of subject for the time being.

“Sure, that sounds great right now.”
