THIRD PERSON POV
Fiona took the elevator to her lab. Much to her surprise, and delight, two familiar figures were waiting for her.
“Fiona!” Cynthia exclaimed as she opened her arms for a warm hug. Fiona instantly ran to her best friend.
“Cynthia!” She greeted her and looked at Carl.
“Carl, you guys are back from your honeymoon!”
“Yeah, we arrived just this morning,” Carl responded by giving Fiona a hug. “I'm sorry to run, but I have a meeting with Hrolf and Cindy in about four minutes.”
“Go ahead, I promise to keep her safe until you get back.”
He walked up to his wife and gave her a kiss on the lips. “I'II see you at lunch, babe.” With that, he left the lab.
“Awwwnnn_,” Fiona cooed.
“Fiona.” Cynthia's voice called in a serious tone.
