The moment both ladies were gone. Esteban strode towards Thomas, his gaze piercing and intimidating, “You have some nerve trying to lie to me, Hills.”
“What do you mean? Lie to you, how?” Thomas questioned. “Can you explain?”
“Chloe and Dr. Trooper seem to be under the impression that your men were following them because Hills security is working for Hrolf. But you know damn fuvking well that Hrolf hasn't hired you to protect Dr Trooper,” the other man stated. “Now, tell me why you were having her followed.”
“I didn't lie,” Thomas responded defensively. “I only said I was protecting her, and that's what I was actually doing. And coupled with the fact that it was entirely a good thing that Vicent was around, your teams weren't doing a good job at their work.”
