Hearing that Vin was leaving, Milo wasn't happy, but Jem consoled him quickly. After eating, Vin headed to the entrance of the palace, where his guards waited for him beside the carriages. Jem followed close behind Vin with Milo beside him. They got to the carriages, and Vin started to say goodbye. He was suddenly interrupted by a loud, familiar voice.
"Vin!" the voice said, and the person who was called, turned around to see his friend from Fugah village bounding right up to him with a wide grin in her face. Nesine threw her arms around Vin's neck and hugged him tight. The Fenaris guards gasped, but Vin ignored them.
Jem spoke from the back, "sorry, I forgot to tell you that she came back." Nesine pulled back from Vin, and mock glared at Jem. Jem apologised again with a chuckle.
