Vin felt Milo draw closer to him, afraid, and Jem asked, "what is happening, Vin?" Vin shrugged in response, but his eyes looked everywhere, and still he found nothing. The attack seems to go unnoticed by the crowd, who probably thought it was part of the parade. Vin stood with Milo and Jem, and he led them through the crowd. He looked for a way to exit the event and go unnoticed by whoever was after them, but it seemed luck was not on his side.
