I stood in the in kitchen, in a maze. Stunned beyond comprehension. Because yes, something is going on here. Something very strange. Why does he have my grandma's cookies.
“Well at least I won't have diarrhea," I say, knowing that she made chocolate chip cookies so well that they didn't give me a sad stomach as they should. Though I'm still angry with what I have. My rage about ready to explode on the man responsible.
“Something fishy is indeed going on here. We have to find out what those names mean," Stormi says. Maybe it's just the recipe. It's so good, these weird names wouldn't surprise me at all. But at the least, I doubt.
Checking the coast, I start searching the names. To find, it's not a cookie recipe as I might have thought, but something strikingly weird.
“It's just towns," I notice. These are all names of different towns from different parts of the world. But what do they mean? What's special about these towns?
“Well let's find out what do they have in common," Stormi adjures as we read through the articles. I do as so, searching but to no avail. Nothing that the countries suspiciously had in common . All things in common, seem absolutely normal.
Even their differences, aren't suspicious. What am I missing to this great puzzle?
“There's definitely something missing here," I note, scrolling through my phone.
“ Yeah. I guess, cookies and random towns are not enough evidence, “ she sighs almost disappointed.
" Well they are enough evidence that he has something to do with granny. I would love to hear him explain how he got his hands on granny's cookies, “ I was raging in anger.
" Questioning him will just put us more danger. Fighting is not an option for now, “ she says.
" I thought you said I have an advantage, “ I recall her words. Because I'm really am not interested in just sitting and doing nothing about this.
" Yes. But your advantage is not enough to cause extensive damage. I was talking in a case we may need to escape. But with your training, and this advantage, you won't able to kill someone as strong as him. Given the fact that he possibly is not alone here, he has company. Not only is he strong, we are outnumbered. And if he finds out what we are up to, this may greatly backfire on us? “ she explains.
" Backfire? How? “ curious I provoke her knowledge.
" We were the last ones on the crime scene, and we have already tempered with. The man is powerful with connection everywhere. He can pull strings and sway people and make it look like we killed granny. And everyone will be after us, while he walks scotch free, “ Stormi explains.
" Why would even want to kill granny? He's the only person who treated us humane, “ I wonder, as to why in a million years.
" Granny is... Was a very respected warrior. They won't need much of a reason as to why. As long all the evidence points to us, everyone will be against us. Granny is wildly known to the country, so I don't really think we want so many packs against us. At least not without enough evidence to expose the real monster, “ she lectures me. Why does this have to be so complicated?
" Well I hate the fact that gives more reasons for me to stay here, in the same space as him and not try tear his head off, “ I lement least satisfied.
I move back to the living room, my eyes sail around the room reconing evidence. I move to sit on the grey couch with comfortable looking cushioning, noticing a news article on top of the coffee table. I pick it up to read, and it's nothing related to the towns, nor the cookies. Defeated I just throw it back to the table.
I then hear footsteps coming into the room. I quickly turn around, to see Alpha Asher carrying a blanket. Already in his nightwear, which are just simple pants and socks.
“You can use my bedroom. I'll sleep on the couch," he says noticing my reaction towards him. No I don't think so, I'm perfectly fine here in the couch.
“No I'll sleep here," I tell him, as I get up to take the blanket from his hands.
“ No, but—”
" I insist, “ I fake a smile plucking it out of his grip. No way, I'm sleeping in his bedroom. Even if we were not in this kind of situation.
" Okay. I thought you'd prefer a place more comfortable, “ he says.
" I don't think a place where there's too much of you can ever be comfortable for me, “ I respond turning back to the couch. Besides the fact it's way safer for me here, this couch has way less of his scent. I approve.
“I see... Well sleep tight," he speaks in a banausic tone as he turns to leave.
“I'll try," I mumble, covering myself with the blanket as I sit on the couch. He disappears, and I'm left alone as I continue searching for something more to find about the towns. Maybe something will finally make sense. But mostly because I just couldn't sleep after everything. How can I, when I've lost the most important person in my life. When I'm trapped with a monster in disguise. I just couldn't sleep, and I didn't want to.
But I guess, tiredness finally caught up to me and I fell asleep while on the phone. Because from my sleep I can hear someone sneaking up to me. Without wasting time I react, picking a weapon to defend myself from the person.
“Ohh no, not the paper cut," he pretends to be petrified. I soon notice Alpha Asher, and also that I'm just carrying the newspaper in my hand. “I'm just trying to get my charger," he flaunts it on my face.
Frustrated, I just throw it away, getting back into the blankets. " Don't be so disappointed. There are much extensive things you can do with that newspaper," he adds, which I almost wonder if he's just trying to tease or being serious.
“Please leave me alone," I mumble at the brink of annoyance.
“I'm gone," he says walking away.
“Really? A newspaper?" Stormi comments discontent as she lays down.
" Well you heard him say it's extensive,” I try to defend myself, also wondering what was I expecting to do with a newspaper. This time, I try stay awake not willing to take that risk again.

I'm walking in the forest, with Stormi by my side. We run around, chasing each between the trees. The sun is bright in the blue sky, and everything is perfectly green. Breathing life and freedom.
When suddenly everything changes, leaves fall out of the trees. The grass dies, the trees wither, as the blue sky turns absy black.
I notice it's granny's garden. Me and Stormi walk side by side terrified.
The floor becomes sticky with blood, and air infested with the terrible smell of death.
All too sudden, we are inside the house.
A figure standing at a great distance, his back turned on us. A pile of dead bodies surround us, as move closer to the stranger. I don't have time understand what's going as everything seems to be happening so fast.
Piercing screams follow, breaking my heart. I notice that the man is killing granny, stabbing her countless times in her chest. Blood sprouts everywhere, as he repeatedly drives the knife through her.
“ Granny! No! Please Stop!" I cry out loud rushing to save her. The frame of the body from the back represented Alpha Asher. It was him stabbing my grandma like a psycho, his wicked laugh consumes the room,as he delights in his wickedness. “No!" I grab him by the shoulder pushing him aside to see his face. But it's concealed by darkness, I couldn't make out what he looks like. I can still hear his laugh echoing everywhere. “Who are you?" I question pale with fear.
“I'm your doom!" The stranger answers, his voice booming all around me like thunder. I didn't understand what he meant when he says he's my doom. But before I can inquire more answers I feel something tugging my feet. I yelp, reacting to the strange feeling in my leg.
To see my grandma waking up with blood dripping all over her body. The knife holes spitting even more blood but she didn't care. “Granny," I breath heavily at the horrifying scene.
“I'm not your granny!"
I scream out loud as she jumps to me with razer sharp teeth, and elongated claws.

My eyes flutter open, as my brain wakes up. Trying to understand my surroundings, still feeling the effects of sleep. But what startles me is the scent all around. I turn my head to look up meeting a polished bare chest, and Alpha Asher's face above me.
“You're already awake," he notices.
“What do you think you're doing!?" I jolt to a sitting position, looking at to explain the meaning of this. Why was I lying on his lap? There's so much space here, for him to sit.
“ Well I couldn't sleep because you were screaming like a fanatic," he reports of my dreams. Then I soon remember the nightmares of last night, a man killing my grandma, and her trying to kill me. Remembering how he told me he's my doom. And still now, none of it makes sense.
“And so?" I inquire as I didn't understand how this had anything to do with me screaming.
“And so I tried something that would make it stop. And it worked, you slept quietly and maybe even comfortably," he responds, typing on his laptop on the arm rest. Sipping coffee that calles for my name.
" I doubt anything about that was comfortable, “ I mumble deflecting my gaze from his exposed muscles.
" It still doesn't change the fact you whined like a little baby everytime I left, “ he replies still focused on the laptop. I snort as something about his words just makes want to pounce on him.
I just stand throwing the blanket back to him.
"What are you doing? “ He questions skeptical of my doing.
"I'm leaving. You said until the storm has cleared. And the storm has cleared, “ I tell him walking away, to the bedroom. He doesn't stop me, which is partly a good sign.
I start preparing to leave as soon as possible. After cleaning my self up, I put on my black A-line cocktail dress that came shortly above my knees, and fix my hair into a ponytail. When I satisfied, with my looks, I take my bags ready to turn my back on this place.
“Wait!" Alpha Asher stops me as I walk out of the bedroom. Bluntly gazing at me, his eyes all over my body, devouring my look.
Well, why did I think it would be this easy.
“What?" I look him up and down, noticing he already changed into a suit. Which is only just a half buttoned shirt, and blue pants. That was fast.
“Before you leave. Why don't you come with me back to the pack?" he offers, and I wonder if he's out of his mind.
“And why would I want to do that?" I look at him curious of what he's really thinking. Does he think I'm anyway interested in going back to that he'll of a place.
“Because you need more evidence about the man, who might have killed granny," Stormi answers instead.
“Are you crazy? I'm not going back to that place!" I argue.
“ Are you saying you can't sacrifice for granny?" she says something that hits me in the chest.
“ You can't blackmail me like that.“
" I thought maybe after all this time you might want to see your family, “ Alpha Asher replies.
" You know what? I am interested in knowing what my 'family' has been up to for the past few years, “ I give him a response, that I almost thought I saw a smile on his face, before pulling back to his neutral expression.
" Great. Let me help with your bags. The car is already waiting outside, “ he takes them from my hands headed to the elevator. I silently follow him, really hating this plan.
"I hate this," I say to Stormi.
“I know, me too. But granny is worth the sacrifice.“ Her response is not giving me much of a choice.
The elevator opens again, into the entrance hall. Me and Alpha Asher we walked in silence which I rather appreciate. The hotel is busy, with people moving up and down. Many noticing Alpha Asher, making effort to greet him, recognizing him as Mr. Moon. He also greets back, but really less interested.
When we step outside, one of his gaurds, which I could tell by the familiarity of his scent, comes up to him. He takes the bag from his hand, finding it space on one of the cars.
" Please, “ he offers for me to sit as he opens the door for me. I didn't know he can be a gentleman. Or is this just part of the act ?
" Thanks, “ I mumble stepping inside. He then follows after, me closing the door. The engine revs to life, and soon the car is on the road.
I really can't believe I'm going back to that place. I silently look out the window, as I thought how everything has led to this. But if this is what I must for granny, anything I'll do.
“ So... What have you been up to? “ After extremely long silence in the car, he finally decides to break it. With small talk that I couldn't be any less interested in.
" Nothing much. I survived. You know what the say. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Or squeeze them in life's eyes. I would have chosen the second option, but was never really given the chance, “ I say, and to my delight realizing my answer is not really what he was expecting. “…But I'm more interested with what you've been up to," I finally say. I don't know, maybe killing old people. I'm much interested in that.
" The Alpha's life is always the same. Taking care of the pack, attending boring meeting, and time to time battles are thrown into the mixture, “ he responds. Well that's not very helpful.
" Is your life really that boring? “
" It could be worse, “ he says in a monotone voice. We are both silent again as the ride continues. Familiar tress coming into view.
I feel a sense of nervousness, as all memories come flooding like a tide. From when I was rejected by my family, to when I was rejected by my own mate. The kind of memories I hate to relive.
The home for my nightmares, where the real monsters in my life live. I hate this place with passion, it has brought me so much pain. Made me hate life, and drove me through the dark and kept me there.
I don't know if I would have ever seen light have I never left this place.
The car finally stops in front of a familiar pack house. The same cladding of black and grey stones.
Omegas come flooding to the car as they notice their Alpha has come back. All of them to greet him and welcome him.
Wildly shocked when I show my face, and curious as to why I'm with the Alpha. All eyes on me, I must be a celebrity.
But I don't mind them, I didn't come here for them anyways.
“ Greetings Alpha. Welcome back. I believe you had a wonderful trip," I hear an extremely familiar voice. A woman I wasn't so appeased to see. “ Amber!? What are you doing here!?" Her eyes almost drop out her sockets with shock.
“Hi mom," I wave.
