Chapter Fifty: AngerPresent day Raven was awoken by the clock outside his room striking midnight. His first day was over. All the strain he had endured recently had taken its toll on his exhausted body and he had slept deeply. He groggily sat and pushed himself up, palms flat on the ground, into a kneeling position. How long did they really intend to keep him here? Would they really let him out in five days or would they find him in years to come, a crumbling skeleton shrouded in dusty clothes? He fumbled around the room again after being struck by the terrible paranoia that maybe a previous inmate had died in here and they hadn't cleaned the body away.
