Third Time's a Charm

1780 Words
I was slightly humiliated when Miller escorted me out of Professor Palmer’s office. I didn’t know what he said to the man, but the history professor seemed content with whatever lies Miller told him. Or so I thought. The call came two days later. Professor Palmer’s TA told me that he had set up a meeting for me regarding the extra assignments I needed to pass his mandatory class. I thought I was meeting with the TA, and I was surprised that the professor himself was there waiting behind his desk. “How long?” he asked, and I knew exactly what he was referring to, but I didn’t know why he wanted to know because I thought Miller had cleared everything up for me. Instead of answering him, I tried to explain what my dad’s capable of, “You can’t do anything about it, he will make sure you won’t. Don’t... I’ll be okay, just a couple of more years.” “How can...” the man seemed persistent, like he really wanted to help me. “I’ll contact your TA and ask for the assignments from him,” I couldn’t help myself but feel the sudden emotion, my tears threatening to fall, and I winced when he accidentally grabbed my arm to stop me from leaving. “s**t, I’m so sorry. Damn it, Ryker...” “Reid, please.” “Okay, Reid, you need to report this. I can help. I know people.” “I don’t want your help. I’m fine. I can handle this.” The man finally let me go, and I walked out of his office, pulling my long sleeves down nervously, and heard him curse, but he didn’t come after me. Though somehow I wish he did, somehow I felt the comfort in his warm gaze. It was a sick thought. He probably had a family back home, a beautiful wife, and more beautiful children. He was just a kind mind who was trying to help me. But see, I didn’t need any help. I just need to slip away from this life silently. The choices were right in front of me, continue school and get beat up by daddy dearest, or take more pills. And since I was being Alice, I decided to pop pills. I was going to make sure I’d achieve my goal. I got behind the wheels, carefully waited until the traffic was deserted and that was when I start to speed up my car. But still, somehow the universe was f*****g toying with my sanity when out of nowhere, a deer crossed the road, making me missed the cliff, swerving my car to hit the rocky part side of the road and hit a big tree instead. The airbag compressed my chest and I laughed hysterically. Son of a b***h! Then, the pain hits and I groaned loudly. The throbbing pain in my left arm indicated that it was most likely broken, and my right ankle feels a bit loose in a funny way. Maybe I was still high from the pills when I saw professor Palmer on my window. I pressed the button to let my window down. Amazed that it was still working. Then, I saw his facial expression, the man looked wary as he assessed my situation. “My white rabbit,” I slurred the second he glanced at his wristwatch and pulled out his phone. “Reid, hang on...you’ll be okay.” He looked genuinely worry for me when he tried to give out my details to whoever it was on the other line. But then he froze the second I put my hand on his. “Tell my dad I tried, I almost made it. Maybe you should hang up...” ***** The familiar cold room, the distant beeping of machines, and the sound of two men arguing lulled me into the darkness. Down... down... down... to the rabbit hole. “You are the most beautiful Alice I’ve seen since I was a kid.” I laughed looking at professor Palmer who was watching me like he was about to ravish me. Hmm... I could get used to this dream. “Will you f**k me?” I was lying in bed, naked with him. My white rabbit was also naked on top of me. We were kissing, and I looked down to see that we were frotting, his hand holding our c***s together and I was so horny for him. “Ssh... all in good time my beautiful Reid, I’m going to make you feel so good that you’ll beg for my c**k in your ass.” “Mmph... nghhghh...” I climaxed, then he went down on me. Sucking me, licking my load until I was a whimpering mess with a very sensitive d**k in his hand and mouth. ***** “That must’ve been a very good dream by the smile on your face.” Miller hovered above me and everything fell back into place. My reality. “Miller, my dad?” My throat felt like I just visited the Sahara and Miller helped me with a glass of water, holding the straw for me like he had tended to me when I was being hospitalized before. “He knows, he told me to watch over you once he was informed that you’re stable. He’s still filming abroad, and your mom’s busy with her usual circle of friends. I’m all you got, dude.” I chuckled as he mentioned the word dude, his usual try at being easygoing got me every time. “Don’t, please Miller, you’re not built for casual.” I rested back on my pillow when I felt the sharp, shocking pain throughout my body as I tried to reposition myself. Miller told me that I’ve been in and out of consciousness for two days. “and nope, I don’t do casual but Gia is, and look at what she brought.” “Hey Reid, I thought I’d sneak you in some chocolate cake.” Her smile was bright as she tried to ignore my cast ankle and arm. “Can you help me with my pillow? I’m freakishly starving.” I asked Miller’s beautiful and caring wife. “Only a couple of bites okay, I’m not sure of your situation just yet.” Gia mothered me and she made sure I drank a healthy gulp of water before I let the chocolate cake melt in my mouth. “You’re officially my favorite person.” Miller huffed behind her, but lets me have my fun before a familiar voice cuts in. “I’m not sure they allowed that kind of sweet treat on your hospital diet.” Professor Palmer looked very dapper in his beige pullover and simple dark jeans, he rolled the sleeves just enough to show his strong forearms dusted with arm hair covering the sexy veins. His appearance just made me remember my earlier dream. Fuck, where did that come from? Miller introduced Gia to professor Palmer, he also thanked the man when he called the emergency line and waited for me in the hospital. Wait... he what? “It’s the least I could do, he’s one of my students. My fiancé and I were on our way back, he was the one who saw the car. I didn’t recognize him at first but then I did, and now, here I am checking up on my student,” I didn’t hear the rest. Knowing that he was engaged to a man, made my chest hurt just a bit more. Huh... obviously it wasn’t true because my body was too f*****g numb from the pain. “When can I go home?” I decided that I didn’t want to hear more about what the hot professor said. I didn’t see any ring so the news came a bit shocking to me. But, hell, why should I care about him in the first place? Stupid dream! Miller pulled me out of my thoughts when he said, “At least about two more days, you still have several tests waiting before you can be released. And now that they had suspected you crashed your car voluntarily, they told me that you will stay a couple more days for the psych evaluation. They have your file, Reid. They know about your previous one. You were admitted to the same hospital.” Miller was relentless, he knows professor Palmer was listening and he acted as if someone else needed to know what was going on with me. “Miller, you signed an NDA,” I reminded him, but he didn’t budge, making excuses, telling me it was not his fault that the hospital walls were thin and Gia could back him up on it. Professor Palmer looked taken back by my suicidal tendencies, finding out that it was not my first attempt. And the humiliation washed down on me and I was busy wiping my tears since I couldn’t move my body to face the other way. “Look,” Miller put his hand gently on mine, completely ignoring my state of emotion though his thumb reached to wipe my rogue tear away, “we’re going to pick up Cleo from her swim practice, she just texted me that cheer practice got canceled so I’ll swing by tonight with some good food, okay?” I nodded and Gia kissed me on my forehead. She told me that I was strong and that God has better plans for me. “We’ll always be here for you, buddy. Consider Granddad, again.” With his words, the couple finally left me to pick up their daughter and I was left alone with my rabbit. “You know we have counselors on campus and you can attend meetings, you’re not alone in all this.” “My dad prefers his people, so he can keep track of me. He doesn’t like strangers discussing his only gay son, he still wishes my brother was alive instead of me. I was trying to do him a favor.” I blurted out shamelessly. “Hey, it’s okay. You don’t have to do this alone. You can do it in private, he doesn’t have to know. There’s confidentiality guaranteed between counselors and students.” His hand came down to brush my good hand, he was trying to comfort me. The man was totally different from the professor persona he had on in class. “Now, tell me. Why do you call me white rabbit the other night?” A smile came up from the corner of his lips and it made his face ten times more handsome. Oh, shit...
