The next day 6:30am

Corey woke up feeling refreshed and relaxed, she stood up and stretched her body and then she wore her big, pink Kitten slippers and went to the kitchen. She just finished preparing her cereal, about to put one spoon in her mouth when the phone rang it was Alex, she picked the call

"Corey, if you were famous before, now you are on a blast", Your billboard is out, even on big screen and the internet is talking about it, fans are reacting and you are up the top 5 socials list" Alex said in one gulp.

"Really, why do u act surprised I'm used to that" Corey said

" No dummy, this has increased your social level, you can use the opportunity to talk people into investing in your company and boom you can retrieve back $2 million dollars and make more profit " Alex said

"Nice idea, but you know the whole board has to agree I'm not in full control yet" Corey replied

"Well then, your choice... Where are you"? ... Alex asked

"I was in my house having breakfast until you came up"... Corey said

"Oh! Sorry my bad.. finish up I'll see you later bye...Alex said and hunged up.

As Corey slid pass she smiled at her success, at once her sister called.

"Hey sis"

"You didn't tell me you went in a shoot Corey? How could you"

Her sis said

"What! I thought the agent told you about it.".. Corey replied

"Hell no!! My sister went for a shoot and I wasn't informed." Her sis said

"I'm sorry, are you mad? ... Corey asked...

"No silly that's great news, you could have told me I'd sign you up for more... And I thought you said no more shoot"? Her sis asked.

"I just decided... You know, something to keep me busy, away from the company"... Corey said

" That's true.. I'm so proud of you Corey, you are growing every day... I love that for you" her sis said

"Thanks sis... You're the best" Corey smiled and said.

"Okay sis gotta go... bye, love ya... She said and hunged up

Later that day at sunset boulevard

Corey's black range over autobiography pulls up to the light in the traffic she came across the billboard which she haven't seen. A massive LED screen light up right above the intersection of the roads, a full building size digital billboard.

Corey looks at the billboard

It was her in slow motion. Cream silk wrap top, black wide leg trouser, caramel LuXE & co tote swinking as she walks. Hair in a sleek low bun and her black heels catching the light. Underneath it read

Once the traffic started moving they drove out and pulled up at Benson corp, Corey walks into her office still in the same cream silk wrap top from the billboard, sunglasses tucked into her hair. Her phone hasn't stopped buzzing many companies has already started asking her to be the face of their companies. She drops her tote and sits on the desk.

Knocks

Damian Vance was leaning in her doorway, with his white sleeves, that was opened a little to reveal slightly his broad chest, two coffees in his hand. Not his usual boardroom armor

"So.... You're the famous actress that got the whole Internet buzzing" Damian said walking towards her desk Corey was caught off guard and stands up a little too fast, Damian drops the coffee down "care for a coffee"

"I..I.. can explain, I had approval for the LUXE & CO shoot, I know I have a plan to accomplish it was after hours..."

Damian holds up a hand and let out a tiny smile across his lips

"Corey I saw it " .. my p.a was stuck in traffic on sunset boulevard for 20 minutes because everyone was filming your billboards... Damian said not strict not hostile.

"Oh!... Yh .. quite Alot" Corey said

"I've had you in board meetings for months and I've never seen you look that ... Relaxed.. confident "

He leans against her desk looming over her like before, their eyes met

"You looked great there... Really good"

Corey cheeks instantly turned pink, she was quiet for a while and then she said

"Thank you"

"And also you looked like you owned the building, it was completely giving that energy" Damian said as he straightened up after the awkward stare

Corey chuckled softly

"Well the photographer asked me to walk like I own the building... So I had to act it out"...

Damian laughs quietly showing his perfectly carved face

"You look like you own the building"

"Yh, you have to look and act the part, according to my director, Corey said and they both laughed. Wow who could have thought a cold boss like you would have a sense of humor... It's nice.. Corey said after the laugh subsided

"Cold boss, is that what they call me"... Damian asked

"Maybe but definitely not this moment" Corey said

"Hmmm, I'll take that" he said and sighed then he came close and looked at Corey.

"You made the company proud today Corey... I mean it".. Damian said softly...

"Thank you Damian... That means a lot" Corey said and let out a pretty smile for once again apart from her best friend Alex she felt so free.

"I ordered coffee, I thought you'd be coming back here" Damian said and points to the two cups on the desk

"Oh! Yh" she said and they both sat down and took a sip of coffee.

After some silence with the coffee on the desk... Corey finally asks what she has been wanting to ask

"Uhm, Damian there's something I'd like to know, not about the plan, but about Benson corp? Corey asked, Damian smiles

"Go on..."

"How did you end up owing half of Benson corp? I mean you already have Vance holdings your... Family you guys are business tycoons here in L.A, why did you choose Benson corp" Corey asked

FLASHBACK ( 4yrs ago)

Benson Corp, her father's office.

Mr Benson sits behind desk, looking at the financial reports. Benson Corp was struggling to stay independent.

Across him was 17 years old Damian Vance already wealthy in a tailored suit... The heir to Vance holdings one of the biggest business company in L .A.

"Mr Benson, Vance holdings can acquire Benson corp outright, I'll talk to my father to sign it and then you will be debt free". Damian said emotionless.

"Benson Corp won't be another company under Vance holdings"... He slids a paper file across "I don't want a buyout I want a partnership "

Damian looked at Mr Benson and then opens the file 50/50 partnership agreement.

"You want me to own half, personally? Not under my father's company?" Damian asked surprised

"Damian, your parents own half of L A, but you... You built your own reputation... I trust you, and I need someone understands both words, your family's power and the legacy of mine" Mr Benson said

"If I sign this, it's my own stake not Vance holdings money" Damian asked

"That's exactly why I'm asking for your partnership, if it's yours.. you'll protect it... My daughter Corey is too young to take over but when she's off age I want her to have a partner who doesn't need Benson corp but chooses it.

Present day

Corey is staring at him finally realizing the whole thing

"So you choose Benson corp you could have just let Vance holdings buy it"

"My father told me to add to his business alliances, it would have been easy. But the pleading eyes of your father changed my mind especially when he thought about your future he wanted you to have a partner and so I did it " Damian said looking at her.

"You are only Three years older than me but you were already..."

"Yh I was a company manager... But at Benson corp am your partner, that's what your father wanted, that's what I signed up for" Damian said.

"You chose us, even when you had everything" Corey said quietly.

"I chose this and now... He stops and turns to her.... Now I get to see the other half of Benson finally come home" Damian said as he stared I to Corey's eyes, her chest tightened and her tummy did a weird flip and then her cheeks turned pink.
