MASON BLAKE
I can see that the girl doesn't remember when I brought her to my house, but that's normal because she hit her head very hard when she fell in the forest last night.
I can see that she's looking at me with a lot of fear right now, and I sit up slowly in bed, still looking at her.
I'd never been this close to her before, and I thought she was dead when I saw her pass out after the vampires attacked her.
Her eyes are beautiful, and I blink, realizing that I'm staring at her like a maniac and I can't make her even more scared.
"I saved you; you don't have to be afraid of me; I won't hurt you.", I say, and she nods.
I still can't understand it, but I brought her to my house because I thought it was the safest place for her after those two vampires in the forest.
She keeps looking at me as if she's confused, and I hurry to say my name because I remember that she's never seen me before.
"My name is Mason."
She's very beautiful, and she's so close to me that I can see every detail of her face. For a long time, I've just been watching her, and doing this every night has made me very interested in her.
But I know I need to go slowly with her so as not to make her more afraid because I'm still the strange man who saved her from being killed.
"Eve. My name is Eve.", she says with a shy expression, and I nod, smiling at her.
I know that, little girl.
"Why was I attacked yesterday? I hit my head pretty hard, but I've managed to remember a few details, and everything is still very fuzzy inside my head. I need to get back to my house.", she says, getting up from the bed quickly, and I hold her shoulders.
Furthermore, I keep holding her, seeing the girl's blue eyes staring at me endlessly. There is a connection between the wolves and their partners, but I'm still not sure what's going on here.
I feel very much like protecting her. I know many things about her, and one of them is that she touches her hair whenever she's smiling in a very beautiful way.
Likewise, I want to touch her face and feel her warm skin against my fingers, but I can't do that. Furthermore, I just keep looking at her without stopping.
"You can't go, it's not safe out there for anyone.", I whisper, and she nods, pushing me away and walking to the bedroom door.
I sigh, seeing that she's not going to obey me easily. I know that she and her father have a great connection, but I can't let her go back to that place again.
Furthermore, I follow her into the living room of my house, seeing that she's feeling very worried about her father.
"I need to see my father, get out of my way, please!", she says, trying to push me away, but I'm too strong and much stronger than her.
"Please listen to me. The forest is no longer a safe place after yesterday, just believe me. You almost died yesterday."
"A wolf saved me yesterday, not you, you just found me in the forest and brought me to this place.", she says louder, and I blink my eyes, holding her hand.
At this point, I'm trying to figure out if telling her about me is a good idea. She's sure to get a lot more scared and run off into the forest, and I can't let that happen either.
"Would you believe me if I told you that you were attacked by vampires last night?", I ask, seeing her start to laugh while I keep a serious expression on my face.
"Vampires? Did you say vampires? And were you that big wolf?", she asks, and I stay silent this time, watching her eyes widen.
"It was you, it was you last night, your eyes...", she says, and I nod, feeling completely surprised that she hasn't run away from me as I thought would happen if I told her about me.
"This is all too much for me; I still can't believe this is happening. If these creatures are that dangerous, I need to go home and find my father; he could be in danger.", She tries to open the door to my house, but I nod before she starts explaining again.
"You don't understand me and...", Before I have a chance to continue, I hear footsteps, and seconds later I feel someone smashing down the door.
Eve screams, and I wrap my arms around her to protect her body as the vampires enter the house.
I walk with her to my room before closing the door and hearing her scream in fear behind me.
I still can't believe this is happening again, so I lock the door before reaching under the bed for my guns.
I take out a pistol with silver bullets before looking at Eve, seeing that the girl is hugging my body tightly.
I touch her long hair and feel her body trembling with fear.
"Okay, do you know how to use this?", I point to the gun in my hand, and she nods quickly.
