CHAPTER 2

990 Words
EVE JONES "Help me, please! Help me!", I scream out loud, feeling my legs run as fast as I can. I feel my body getting very tired and my heart beating faster inside my chest, but I can't stop running now because I don't want to die. I still can't believe this is happening. This could be a horrible nightmare, but I'm being chased by two people who don't seem normal. I always thought that my father and I were the only people in this forest, but I see that I was very wrong about that. I run faster, almost unable to see anything in front of me because of the darkness of the night. My father isn't here, and I'm alone and very scared. I don't want to die. I turn my head and look back to see the two men running towards me. Everything was normal just a few minutes ago. I always used to watch the stars at night because my mother did that before she died, but I woke up hearing noises around my house, and I knew it wasn't my father. I can sense that something very bad is going to happen in this forest. Furthermore, I can feel it. The branch of a tree cuts my face, and I can feel the blood on my cheek, but I don't stop running. I hear a loud noise behind the vampires, and I scream when I feel my foot tripping over a large stone. I fall hard to the ground, and I scream again when I feel one of the men on top of me. Likewise, I scream louder, trying to get him off my body, but the man seems much stronger and is trying to attack me. I can't see anything because of the darkness, but I can see his mouth open as if he's trying to bite me. "Help me! Help me!", I shout, hearing more noises in the forest, and I open my eyes when something very large jumps on top of the vampire that was on top of me. I sit down on the ground and see the shadow of something like a very large wolf attacking the vampire who wants to kill me. I put my hand over my heart before continuing to watch them fight on the forest floor. Furthermore, I see that the wolf has golden eyes, and he won't stop fighting and attacking the vampire, who is trying to kill him anyway. I've never seen anything like this before, I've never seen a wolf as big as this, and I can still feel the tears wetting my face. The wolf bites the vampire's neck, and I see the moment he looks at me with golden eyes as if he's helping me. "Thank you...", I whisper, getting up quickly when I see that there's a second man behind me. I scrambled back to my feet, hearing him running after me. I scream as I feel my body fall from some kind of very high fireplace. Furthermore, I groan as I feel my body rolling down hard. I try to hold onto something, but I keep falling. I close my eyes tightly when I feel my head hit something hard. Likewise, I open my eyes, feeling the pain overwhelm my body. I raise my head to see the man approaching me. I'm crying and in pain at the same time, and I scream when I see him stretching out his hand towards me. For a moment, I thought I was going to die in this forest, but it didn't happen. The wolf is back, and I see him start to fight the second man. I put my hands to my forehead, feeling a liquid wet my hands, and I know I'm bleeding at this point. I can't get up, I'm groaning as I feel my body go dizzy, and I'm still looking at the big wolf when I close my eyes and pass out in this forest. Furthermore, I try my best to open my eyes, but I'm still feeling my head hurt a lot. Likewise, I sigh, seeing that I'm being carried by someone, and it makes me afraid again. "Please don't hurt me...", I whisper, trying to get out of the arms of the tall man holding me. "I'm not going to hurt you, you're safe now...", I can hear his hoarse voice, and I blink my eyes, trying to figure out who he is. "Who are you?", I whisper before collapsing into his arms again. I groan as my whole body aches when I open my eyes and see that I'm in an unfamiliar place and lying on a bed in a house. I put my hands on my head, feeling something against my forehead, and I realized it was some kind of bandage against my skin. Likewise, I blink my eyes several times before looking up in the bedroom window to see that it is now morning and I have been asleep all this time. "Where am I?", I whispered to myself before turning my head and looking around the room in more detail. I sit up in bed and look down at my body to see that I'm still wearing my clothes and that makes me feel more relieved now. I can still feel my body aching, and at this moment, my mind is traveling back to everything that happened last night. Oh my God. I almost died. I'm still thinking about it when I hear the bedroom door opening, and seconds later a very large man with long, close-cropped hair enters the room carrying a tray of food. Furthermore, I still don't know who he is, and this makes me look fearfully at the man, and I frown when I see that his eyes are golden. "Who are you? And what am I doing here?", I ask the man who is staring at me.
