Gwen had barely taken a few steps away from Harry when she heard footsteps approaching behind her.
She didn't need to turn around to know who it was.
For a moment, she considered pretending she hadn't heard him.
After everything that had happened between them, she wasn't entirely sure she was ready to have a conversation with Adam. Especially not after seeing him earlier and remembering how strange things had been between them since their argument.
But then again, avoiding him wasn't going to make the awkwardness disappear.
So, with a quiet sigh, Gwen stopped walking and Adam eventually caught up to her.
