It was unlike Petal to have a cheerful voice. Especially when nothing particularly good had happened yet she sounded so cheerful as she walked up fo Miranda, Gwen, Adam and Tina’s table to sit with them.
“Hey, Petal,” Gwen took the lead to reply her first. “Did something good happen? You sound excited?”
“I know it seems like the only thing that can bring me joy is getting rid of humans but you’re wrong,” she smiled at Gwen, sending shivers down her spine. “Other things make me excited.”
“Like what?” Miranda asked. “Finding out any possible way to open the portal?”
“You know me too well,” she smirked at her. “Yes, you’re right. I think we might be able to get a way to open the portal.”
