"Just roam around, don't get involved with anything!" Daisy warned.
"I promise, I won't do anything" Liviana tells her what could she even do?
"I will talk to the kitchen head, to see if she could get you a spot in the palace"
"You don't have to," Liviana smiled, looking around.
Daisy walked into a passage and soon after she was gone. She took her time strolling around the palace. It was beyond her imagination. Some ladies laughed together while dressed in royal garments, the fabric was beautiful and smooth. This made her jealous, she wanted to be dressed in one of those to look elegant, make her hair and pack them in styles like theirs.
The beauty of Harcadia caught her eyes, the bright blue sky and the warm weather, the beautiful ladies, men and the children that walked around, she breathed in enjoying every view of it.
Soon after, she reached a field, the grass was green and dry, it looked like a training ground to her, Liviana shook her head seeing men fight with swords, while some with arrows she envied them why was her life not normal she had always wished for this type of life.
"Liviana?" A voice whispered, she jerked to the hand that tapped her. The person was covered in metal armour, she furrowed her brows, looking down at the person confusedly. "It's me," Aiden took off his helmet.
"You?" she moved away.
"Yes, me why are you here?" he glanced around.
"Can't I?"
"A princess like you shouldn't," he says, earning a smile from her.
"Well, I am not a princess" Liviana folded her arms across her chest.
"You are one in my eyes" Aiden steps backwards, watching her blush to his words.
Liviana stared at him speechlessly, he was good with words, obviously, he would he was Prince, a handsome man who could woe women of his choice.
"How is your wound?" she pointed to his waist.
"Oh, that's taken care of thanks to you" He smiled.
"Hmm, I can tell, the royal physician is good" she raised her gaze to him, and Aiden blinked away.
"You must be good with wounds," He asked.
"Not really, my grandmother does" She unconsciously say, Aiden stared at her confused.
She looked at him, and he kept staring at her, wondering if she was the same person in the forest and the marketplace. She looked really different, he recalled daisy saying she wasn't feeling too well.
"What... do you do?" she broke the silence between them.
"Do? you mean my armour?" he looked at the sword, he was holding.
"Yes, that" she lowered her gaze to his hand.
"Sword, arrows... depending on what you give me"
"Arrows, can you make a shot..." she cleared her throat, Aiden took out an arrow
"Pass me that!" he yelled to a blondie, ordering him to bring a bow.
"You didn't even let me speak" she bit her lips staring at him.
"A lady challenging me, of course... I know you are, it's only right if I prepare"
"Mmm... well... Your Highness, carry on" she walked to the blondie, taking a bow and arrow from him.
"What? you're going to play?" Aiden asked, stunned by her actions.
"I am, my lord, I am a good warrior I can assure you"
"You are? those hands don't look like the hands of a warrior... oh okay" he smiled, Liviana had fired an arrow hitting the target.
"Your turn," she says, giving him space to fire his, Aiden couldn't speak, his years of battling he hadn't seen a woman who could dare.
"And if?" Aiden looked around, his Knights were gathering around, starting to enjoy the challenge between them.
"Your men are looking, my lord" She whispered, making hand gestures. Aiden chuckles shaking his head, he drew his bow aiming for the target.
Aiden could hear his people cheering for him, and her gaze he could feel fixed on him. He took his time staring at the target, hoping he couldn't miss it, he would be failing a beautiful lady, and that would soon be the talk of the town. His shot was clean as it hit the target he sighed out of relief, he felt tension build-up within him for a minute.
"Could it have been luck?" Liviana whispered, staring at him, she could see the little boy crying to find his way back.
"You wish," He glanced around, "That's enough," he said to the people watching. Aiden came closer to her, "Anything could be my aim, even a lady like you" He moved back.
Liviana rolled her eyes, "Let's place a bet" She replied with a smile, changing the topic.
"A bet? I don't want to be betting with a-"
"If I win you grant me a wish, if you win I would grant you a wish" she shrugged.
"Sounds like you need something from me?" He turned over to her.
"I need a job in the palace," she says, "I heard it pays well" Aiden giggles.
"Well it's granted," he says, Liviana gawked at him, they haven't even started and he was confident enough.
Aiden fired the first arrow, and Liviana picked hers, this continued for a while. Time moved slowly and soon after the sunset was up. The evening sun cast long shadows on the ground and the slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky. They wrapped up, Liviana took her leave walking down the path, Aiden had long left with his people, Liviana sighed countless times as she headed home.
Daisy was going to mad at her, she had warned her not to do anything but she had forgotten about that. Liviana walked slowly enjoying the summer breeze.
